A painter of your own
Life is abstract yet simple

Count your blessings in every moment
As there are far too many

like the disco ball
hanging on the ceilin'

like the records
I'm spinning

my world, upside down
as I lay with my eyes closed

tingle of happiness fills my soul
contented, I am

oh reality, just don't set in

Tainted glass broken windows
Unsealed and consumed off the shelves

Been a while, a couple years
Through the wind
Wheels on land
Not a spot changed
Makes you the same

Wrong move, check mate
Never poor from giving
Still I gave

Wings out wheels kept
Thrown-ed

A never ending non-closure

Life

An oxymoron
Probably the biggest contradiction yet

How can one's life be so beautiful yet tiring?
A concept we are all well aware of,
life is full of ups and downs.

But why do we still forget to count our blessings?
Complaining becomes habitual because
it's always easier to remember the bad.

So why don't we channel that energy into the good?
Go through the motions of your downfalls,
take all the time you need to process.

Eventually, when you're ready - take a step back.
Focus on the present, dare to dream your future.
Be thankful, always - that we are living.

Only those alive, have the privilege of having emotions.
And these feelings, those experiences - which belong to you only,
are what we call life.

Youth - an epitome

In your own headspace
and all you could hear is your heart

Pounding
like you had an extra shot of coffee
Sinking........
your breathing gets louder and slower

In a wrath of emotions
As you peel the foil of the chocolate bar
and take a bite into your anxiety
it is bittersweet

You find yourself in a place
where you no longer belong
where expectations are high yet grey

What an odd age
An odd age indeed

Fun turns into guilt
Money becomes happiness
Love, a liability

But remember, while all things change
there’s one that doesn’t
It is Him

His Word remains, always

For every past is a memory
Golden moments, learnt lesson
Hint of gladness but clouds of misery
Is it a dream or am I haunted?
Sun sets and sun rises
A new day out and in the night sky
Laying in bed
For every conversation
Every cross junctions and new people
I ask, am I haunted by you?
I could hold an eraser
Past is past, present is now
As I type....and hit delete
It stills linger
To work ahead it still has to be said

Acceptance and life
Beat yourself to it
Not beat yourself for it

Youth
Let go but never
surpass of your morals

Truth, I didn't

Question, why am I still so...

I am down, feeling down

Of no boundaries
Put together, deconstructed

Beautiful in all ways
Just like how every body should be accepted the way they are

We seek and connect only with those who understands

But it is more than that
To be inclusive
We speak and share
We love

We are all humans
People who come from all walks of life

A different state of mind
All it takes is a gesture of kindness

Judgements are meant to be made
But, only to make others 2 cents richer

For what it is worth,
the entire community would be a better place

To some, it's about making a connection
A connection to network

While for some, it's about building trust
A rapport - a relationship

Confluence, God's plan, I am confident to say that
I am blessed and thankful

Here's to more sessions of
Profound conversations and glimmer of inspirations
Over roasted ground beans floating through the air

I pray that all may go well with you - and your family
That you may be in good health
As it goes well with your soul

This cruelty of human nature
Love gives us both strength and weakness

Even though it is simple
It is difficult

Layers and layers of skin as we peel off the onion, tears well up in our eyes

The more we reveal, the more vulnerable we get

As your heart and mind tries to speak at the same time, words come out all wrong

It wasn’t a game for losers and winners
But a bet with the heart

Nobody wants to get hurt
Maybe I should’ve put my walls down

Maybe you were right,
you may not be the one for me
that I would have acted like I care

I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you, alas not what I wanted

What if I always knew you are what I want, and what I need? But so afraid that you’ll let me down

If you could just see that it was because I am not confident that you wouldn’t give up on me

Maybe it wasn’t fair that you weren’t able to prove to me because I didn’t tell you

Likewise, I wanted to see by myself if I am someone who can make you fight

But maybe deep down, you couldn’t or it’s just my own stupidity to not allow myself to risk this heart

Maybe it’s too late to regret now
It breaks me to see that I’ve made you think I am someone which you knew I aren’t

In all hopelessness, I am willing to fight but if I fail, I just hope that we can give this friendship a chance and then you’ll be convinced again that you weren’t wrong about how you felt about me at the start

There are certain things that can’t be explained
Feelings that cannot be put into words

Do you feel me?

Tipping toes everywhere I go
Now I wish - I’ve mastered the game of chess

Hanging on life and death
Every step I take - it kills me

Struggle to find thyself again
To be free

With peace and tranquility

Today, I slapped a hand away
Came a gush of emotions
Guilt, empathy, relieve or a pity?

That I’m unsure, but what I do know of
is this weary heart of mine

Painfully learnt, parts of the armour formed
Layers of bricks stacked high

But I laughed, genuinely
What is this? Dazed, I am

Life is indeed scary
It comes in all forms

A hue of red that’s for excitement
and anger

Shades of grey when the tough times come

50 feet’s below, a loss of faith
Pitch darkness

Like stars in the sky

Cast your glimpse of hope
We now see light

You hurt, you heal
You are taught to let go
But what if you’ve not learn the art of forgiving yourself or others?

The wound remains

Honey, you are amazing
Be kind, be kind, always be kind

Be kind to yourself, be kind to others

In every fairytale why will there always be an evil character that tries to ruin the peace in a kingdom

Hatred, jealously, greed and all that you can name

Now, think, are you or should you play the role of these characters?

You don’t, don’t you?
You will always be your own story’s writer.

Given a choice, would you rather be caged up or be roaming around the castle filled with love and happiness?

Life will be simple and easy, I promise
Once you master forgiveness

At the end of the day, there is actually a soft side to everyone.

You never have to put up a strong front by being mean.

Not only does it hurt others, it’s another hole in you

Instead, be courageous.

Chase your dreams, be who you want to be. Bring others up together, not pull them down.

2 is always better than 1.

Now chin up darling,
set your heart free.

You’re born for the better,
thou it may be easier said than done.

So make it a point to not be so ******* yourself.

Have a heart so big and kind.
Ever ready for the challenges set upon.

You are great.

Emphasis has always been placed on
standing back up each time you fall,

it's just a matter of perspective.
It is crucial to get back up, but

it is more important to fall.
Falling helps us to learn, to stay
humble, to gain new insights.

A world so huge, where it sometimes
feel too cruel, dream big they say,
how do I achieve it when
we are only a person so small?

Little by little, everything will work out.
Keep going towards what's close to your heart,
they are what make the world a better place.

Keep dreaming, keep falling and keep chasing.
