The ebbing sea had retreated when I reached the beach
She was afar though the ******* lured me to reach
I had no choice but to cross the lagoon
Half-merged in water wading in the rippled moon.
What delight it was when I was on the other side
Behind me the channel before me the silvery wide
Above me wispily spread an ethereal band
I stood on the cushion of softly sparkling sand.
I could joyfully die holding them in my eyes
More I couldn’t take more I couldn’t surmise
The agonizing beauty was an unbearable sight
There seemed nothing more to live for beyond that night.
In turning back I knew would be no rejoice
But I had to retrace I had no other choice
Afar waited faces in the waning moon’s shadow
My feet were heavy in the return tide’s flow.

Crystallized moon beams
Fractured light of endless desire
Shimmer on you as our eyes meet
Beneath a canopy of gemstone brilliance
Pearl buttons glisten as fingers touch
Your smile grants permission
Leaving me breathless

Serenity of the night serenades
Our hearts beat in silent yearnings
Lips find your shoulders pure
Your neck sweet of perfumed nectar
A sultry sigh floats wispily to the heavens
As we lay entwined on feathery grass
Exploring each other amidst whispering winds

City lights twinkle, reflections on the bay
Unaware of our love, our moment
Leaves trickle to earth like tiny wings
As I gaze upon your silhouette
Mysterious against this velvet sky
Still beauty falls like summer rain
Drenching my sight with you

A full moon stares down smiling
Happily enchanted by our movements
Lifting and lowering, the dark horizon mirrors you
And still I linger upward at your charm
“I love you” I sough, feeling every pulsation of affection
Blissfully seeking, deeper inside
You peer down of hypnotic gazes

Harmonic moans sing in a sensual duet
Echoing through tree lined vistas
Increasing in tempo, you fall to my lips
Tongues dance to the melodic rapture
Fevered vibrations rhythmically sway
Clutching my arms, head arching back
Your hair like chocolate ribbons flowing

A shooting star trails your murmured gasp
Fireworks ignite within, intensely exploding
Illuminating your smile, your face
I rush to meet you, simultaneous sensations
Quivering starlit ecstasy shines
Collapsing in my loving arms
As the evening blankets us in euphoria

love wears a blue dress tonight
she moves wispily, glides even.
skin like clouds, hair that
touches her smile on each side.
hazed green rays from her wise eyes
i feel her in my chest, in my head
shes in there, like my own thoughts
in control.
its lust, the inhalation of scents, flickering dance
of my soul
it travels time, in the eyes
of primitive mind
it dances around the fire
the fire in our souls knew each other
before,
before this, before any encounter ever
our systems share experience and imagination
she is gone for now

how my heart wish'd to/thu.mp/
along with those that sat wispily[wispy as the barren trees that thin out toward the unforgiving east; shan't i venture there, rest my weary soul]
beneath dusty lofts of liquid gold
[it shone brighter than the stars above, the gold did, and it blind'd me quite so]and compress'd waves of bitter contempt.
[their lives were good, the lives of the wealthy: they died young and wild, lungs choking and burning on year-old ale and *** and their lovers laying desolately at their selfish sides. and yet, they hold the right to say they lived, to say they took life by the throat and tugged.]

Hi there, I say
to the dusty weary stranger
At the ramshackle shanty
Perched upon a precipice.
As he sips tea
Steam rises silently from the cup
He looks up
And he says Hi
Letting out some steam

Where from, I ask
Guessing he was from down south
He slurps lazily
And replies in one miserly word.
And I see I was way off the mark
My eyebrows knit in knotty defeat
My instincts have blunted
I grunt at myself

Where to, I ask
He gropes around in his shirt pocket
A cigarette appears, slightly crumpled
He lights up, squinting his eyes
The smoke is acrid
I smell it's long-forgotten male scent
He drags, the tip glows bright
He opens his mouth in a stylized 'O'
Blows rings in a fibonacci sequence
I suddenly crave tobacco
But I wait
He hasn't replied...

On the far hill I see
A tiny car
Careening off the road
Tumbling in slow motion
Ricocheting here and there
Disappearing
In a golden flash
And a plume of smoke
He drags on the *** again
Lets out a plume of smoke
And points at the far hill
And its winding road
And the plume of smoke
Rising wispily skyward

I crave a smoke all the more
I say to no one:
Play it again, Sam
Play it once, for old time's sake.
He starts whistling
A long-forgotten song
He gets up to go,
Starts trudging down the road
I pick up my satchel
And start climbing.
Ahead of me on the snaky road
There's nobody.

Thick smoke spit
My tonic
Swell eyes split
Black cloud fix
Late night drips
Late night sips
Sipping up sap
Sapping up tipsy
Tap taps on the tips
Watch the floor lifting
Shifting
Smash, crackle crispy
Crunch mc nuggets
Four AM grizzly
Grizzle grease griot
Giving slurred wispily
Words like the feet
Falling faster swiftly
Like the head shoulder
Knees toes tickling
The senses of motion
Devotion to sick things!
Sick things!
Sick things!
Few friends out late
Grab a cake
Grab a mate
Grab a bake
Grab a fate
Drive it fast
Make it last
Make it crash
Make it all end quickly!
Quickly!
While she sleeps softly
Coughing up blood
Never felt haunting
Wanting her to wake up
Like the day's drugs scoffing
I'm the same drunk drugged up mug
With a lie stuck to the name like made up love
Like made up stories of truth masked with icing on top
Like the cherry minus vanilla, minus chocolate, minus ice cream, minus nice things
Minus life, minus death, minus point, minus breath, minus art, minus stability, minus self sufficient tranquility!
Find life
Find it right
Find it tonight
Find it before it's time
Find it before it's out of sight
Find it before your friends dead in head lights
Find it before you're a murderer plastered on the headlines
Find it before you find out that you wasted all this time on bad highs
Bad rhymes
Pushing away coffee cake
And pineapple plates
For a daily dose of dead drives.

DUST TO DUST

…settling.
The miasma pools,
notes the molten eyes,
the razor breath,
tenses.

Tapering,
a limb extrudes,
advances wispily, tentatively,
gropes recoiling flesh
tenderly.

Trembling, the plume gathers, rears—

Gasping.
The air like gravel,
fingers gloved in ice.
Knowing,
the old man feels his shadow tugged,
turns.

The lash rips across his cheek,
plunges,
finds the stumbling, lunatic heart,
squeezes.
Flaring, the probe bristles, dives,
severing nerve, shattering bone,
******* furiously at marrow—
whipping the flimsy carcass about,
dashing its brittle skull on stone.
Gutting it. Gnawing it. Pounding and
flaying and
grinding
it
down.

To gristle, to gore,
to compost, to clay—
onus, elan, are purged by the wind.

The vessel dissolves:
to garbage, to grit,
to whisper.
To wit:
to sludge, to seepage,
to sewage, to ****.
Lost in the soil
…settling.
