"unabandoned" poems
What is a Miracle?
Winning the lottery?
Picking up a heads-up penny?
A granted 11:11 wish?
Canceled class?
A promotion?
No.
Those are miracles.
What is a Miracle?
An A on a test?
Winning the “big game”?
Having a secret admirer?
Nope.
Still miracles.
So what defines a Miracle?
What makes the big M?
Where can I buy it?
Where does it come from?
A Miracle is experiencing
Love at First Sight
Getting kissed on the forehead
when the rain trickles down your blushed cheeks
A Miracle is hearing someone
Sing out loud to their favorite song in the car
Unafraid and Unabandoned
A Miracle is hearing one’s
“Dorky Laugh”
with the Snort in it
A Miracle is being faced with your own Mortality
and being given a Second Chance.

I am an average girl.
Ms. "Almost Exceptional,"
One point short,
Just barely missed the cut,
Poor girl.
I give all of my heart,
Yet not enough.
I find almost the perfect fit,
But not quite...
Right.
I am the optimistic pessimist.
The dream-filled cynic.
The cautious adventurer.
I fear the future and the potential
Of hope.
I cling to my desire for love
I wallow in my history of misery.
I want to be by myself
But not alone.
Adored, known,
And unabandoned.

The beauty is still unsurpassed..
The pious heart is still unbiased..
The purity is still unblemished..
The charm is still unabashed..
The grace is still unabandoned..
The brilliance is still unabused..
The serenity is still unabhorred..
The spark is still unblazed..
The ***** is still unstained
Just an abrasive scratched the vignette..,
But the portrait is still a masterpiece..!!!!
O woman..
You are still as elegant and dignified!!!
