Scant moments after sun rise they appear,
Shadows in a distant field,
Moving like ghosts upon a sea,
Of shimmering dewy green.
They toil, bent onto their work,
No music, no joyful banter,
Only their laboring breaths,
Visible in the morning air.

An aged tractor crawls along,
Out in front of them,
They stoop and toss yellow squash,
Into a trailer bin.

Fifty acres by Noon they're told,
"Get it done, or get gone by Ten!"
"No Medical Insurance here,
No Retirement Plan,
No promises or guaranties,
It's work for the moment,
Only if WE please."
Yells out the Overseer!

Noon brings the heat,
Another fifty acres of zucchini.
Nothing changes,
Not even the scenery.
Hats and hoods,
Long sleeves and scarves,
Shield from the sun,
Yet the new heat they must endure.

Still they stoop and toss,
With ****** hands and painful spines.
"Get it done today or no work for you tomorrow.
Don't get hurt there ain't no Workman's Comp."
They are often reminded.

I watch and read a book upon my shady porch,
My promenade to the world.
Morning coffee giving way,
To the afternoon's ice cold Lemonade.
I observe from my distant knoll,
Like a unfettered bird in the sky,
Being detached and alone.
As if I and the people in the field,
Reside on different worlds.

I sit there in my orb with soft hands and body,
The products of a privileged life being a Native Son.
I worked in three piece suits, shirt and ties,
An education, crafty sales ability, my convenient alibis.

They come from the South,
From poverty and dead ends,
A border or two away,
Do the work that only slaves would do,
Back in yesterday.
To put food on our tables,
Grease the wheels of our industries.
Put some meager food in their mouths,
and fuel their fantasy's.
Most do not speak our language,
Yet still our life they crave.
We do not welcome them as we should,
They must sneak in like thieves in the night,
Just to be our willing serfs.

What real difference them to me?
Geographic locations of birth, little more.
That's not really hard to see,
If only we stop and care to look.

A ****** to their hardship,
I watch humbled and inspired,
This display of their commitment,
Their indomitable human spirit.

The hours pass and still they follow,
Up and back crossing the field,
Chasing that same tractor,
Walking miles, going no place at all.

While I've done other things this day,
Leisure, cardio stationary bike,
(No need to take a hike.)
Intellectual stimulation enjoyed,
Eaten twice and rested well.
But not those men and women across the way,
They now merely indistinct bent shapes,
Upon, an ever darkening landscape,
Smudges of smoldering black,
In a vast field of breeze tossed olive drab.

Dawn to dusk being their fate,
Their tomorrows all the same.
Hard work and a willingness to do it,
Their passports, to "Possibility",
and for staying in the game.

you can never be sure,
of what the future holds.
you can only be sure,
of this moment now.
as people grow and change,
so do their feelings,
and their wants,
and their needs.
there are no guaranties.
forever,
is actually just for now.
so enjoy what you have,
while you have it.
enjoy your love.
reap the gains.
and when it dies,
embrace the change.
release your pains,
and try again.
your only loosing a body.
the memories,
the lessons,
the experience,
will always remain.
forever ingrained...

Measureless Love

What container can you find for such treasure the beginning is the right place to start the incomparable
Genius of God is center stage and forever his statement stands he made them male and female he took

A perfect whole divided it for his sake he found and was given the ability to love by the mate he received
There is a great number that fall into the category that they love themselves what pity dogs their whole

Lives when you can look upon a gift that is your essential self with curves and verve and reserves that
Are gauged by spiritual dynamism the appreciation is selective you make the tender affection live

When you stop ignoring and release the caged spirit you thought was your duty to rule no friend
Embers of decent smolder in relationships of this kind but extol her virtues and you will witness a
Winged wonder that can sail through your heart and make your mind break into a fever the soul

Of a woman reaches depths and highs that you can and must only observe her place is the protector
Of life yours and hers emotionally we are in deficit where her feet walk lightly feather like we stomp

And sink in the mire and are hampered sorry she is more of a spiritual being there is more to her beauty
Then will ever be told reassess now your limited thinking there is more in those flashing eyes than just

A prelude to physical engagement it says the last will be first you can be sure the ever present struggle
They endure produces dividends equality is error riddled we look in linier thought processes man higher

Woman lower look at in terms of sphere like the way our planet was created it works out without
Question that as a whole everything is level and complete and still exists in harmony this is the piece I

First wrote in the effort of real writing
Unity

Order the law this bell of truth a ring. Harmony you shall not over sell.
Everything in its equal place, the ground does not the sky astound. In turn the wind it does not bound.

Only the heavens round. The universe doth resound. Gravity holds the ground amidst plant and stone, the animals roam so man is not alone.

Simple but true as a rule it is established in Holy writ a woman’s place and nowhere does it even
Hint of a woman being less than her equal mate the very one of the highest order who sets on the
Royal throne over all the universe who champions your rights and privilege is accosted and

Rejected and this self destruction is applauded by ever one who beguiles and relishes deceit
Because it gives them the advantage there are laws of nature that are unbreakable to use another

Is to present yourself as a prisoner to he that chooses to dam us all the other rule without God
And his word as a guide you will never be truly free because the truth will set you free there are

Few that would go into a home of another as a guest and commit unruly acts but we are in Gods
Universal house not as guest but as His children and we object to his parental control all

Who have children know the great responsibility to guide and protect we love our parents
For this but when He sets rules that will keep us from ending up in the fire eternally with

Our deadliest foe another law you will love one and hate the other one guaranties doom the other
Will draw back the curtain that was sins blackness and every dream and desire that has been

Forfeited and held in trust will be released to you none of us are fooled we know these gifts of
friends and family are creation of his heart of love

No not the falls but the laugh phenomenal engaging pure intoxicating the crinkle of eyes the
Aliveness the reverberation does fall and streams down like water it washes ones face nothing
Holds it back part of its softer moods is its winsomeness airy innocence that speaks tenderly as
It outwardly shouts what a find recently I spoke of the money I spent trying to find a singer to
Move and touch my soul so many was good and held promise but time after time
Disappointment it’s the same nothing is prettier than ones smile they are wonderful you
Cherish them and then you see the day change in a moment electricity crackles a heart shines
Through every pour of a face we are all blessed with a special something that makes us unique
A quiet power to touch a sweeping away of cares and frowns it spills down country lanes quaint
Sidewalks of the mind when it is observed it is telling in that it dispels the lie that life is nothing
But pain and drudgery my contrary heart argues such statements but the soul and spirit
Overrule by having just been ignited thrown into a tizzy thats alright everyone needs to get tizzy
Every once in a while the blues is cruel laughter shoots them down allows you to bounce back
And enjoy life laughter truly is like a medicine well if she isn’t hospital size she is defiantly a
Clinic no guaranties in life they say I’ll give this one look into that laugh your expression and
Outlook will change it worked for her here is her own direct quote “Previously my life was
Complex, I helped make it that way. Now, I keep it simple and fun.” Take delirious look at it
Aghast as we must we can’t have that so throw a big pinch of sober a tiny dash of dower ok fine
Now just for a minute laugh your head off good lord what fun don’t worry about the stunned
Faces they will get over it I bet a lot of country people have had similar experiences if they own
A jack *** you know how they have those signs in some neighborhoods for different reasons
Well some Need no Laughing out loud fuddy dudy lives at such in such address go up behind
Them and Scream get Crazy they will live longer and that I can guarantee I have written about a
Great lady With a Great laugh enjoy making her acquaintance

The fused light

The brightness is tinged in haze it is corresponds to us walking in twilight but is the gift of
Discovery that hovers near all is needed is curiosity the needle that will stitch a thousand

Wonders take from time and place all guessing fill the abandoned with power and grace The child of yesterday will emerge a wand is held to dispel inroads that have been made
By neglect and cruel slights the soft blending is truly the mending that will remove deep lines

Of worry and trouble you can’t walk in light and not be refreshed the residue of malignant
Thoughts and actions by others or even your self can’t endure light’s purifying qualities as well
As sight nullifies the danger of colliding with objects keen eyes see the riches that lie near and

Far expectation guaranties prosperity and prepares people mentally in its acquisition the golden
Light switches cumbersome burdens acquired in dark desperate hours that offered no relief it
Takes the renewing day to give you the power to expel waste that draws from evil darkness our

Deeds are contrary because we practiced them while hidden from the light but assurance rises
Not just on the distant horizon but in the weakened troubled mind once it has failed true
Forgiveness is the rekindling rallying call that light so grandly affords without it victories can’t

Be found truth says I am the light and the way how many wayward broken men and women have
Found and left their chains of slavery at His feet now they by divine impetus carry themselves
Forward carefree unrestricted there is a glowing light from within that can never be darkened

Though hell try with all of its might the fight is His and he never has or will be defeated oh sweet
Destiny we found you after many days of cruel blindness now we are transfigured we take on
The golden soft glowing a comfortable showing that is all bestowing love has its richest flow we

Are no longer deceived that life is only things but it is others and Him that only matters what joy
You will know when you walk in the light
Once there was a
little girl,here in this space.

I can't remember
when, the time or the place.

Then the demons
wandered through the woods which were her world,
cast slowly in to darkness, and the truth, turned to a
pearl.

For many years she battled, proficient to the
last. But fighting only shadows, was the magic they had
cast.
So she conjured up companions to help her win the
war,now she had so many sides,it's easier to
score.

One by one those demons, she placed in to a box and
buried them deep in the woods, and threw away the
past.

The shadows still inside her mind, they fed upon the
pain,
..."Now my little pretty, you will never be the
same".

She let the many sides she had, take turns at playing
house, each one more hollow than the next, empty and
without.

She became the caretaker, the keeper of the
keys.
Guarding over loneliness, a pearl, and
disbelief.

Then the many different sides, could non of them
agree.Who was the greatest qualified, to play the part of
me.
Every time they argued, someone had to lose.

Each one giving up the ghost, & each afraid to
choose.

Soon it was so empty, that she had to leave the
woods, again to fight the shadows, through the bad times and
the good.

The bad times came in thick and fast, without a time for peace.
& Whilst she played with "life's unfairs" back did those shadows
creep.

Way, way back into the woods, a box they searched there
for.To again release those demons, now more power full
than before.
The demons are more cautious now, they hide inside her dreams, and slowly drive her from her
mind, with tortured memories.

Then at the very moment that her spirit drew last breath, a hazy glimmer
caught her eye, and she couldn't yet forget.
Even though still weary,in anguish from her pain, her sward
arose high in the air, her innocence to claim.
A raging battle had begun, the prize a simple pearl.

But that more precious than her life, to just a little
girl. Then, as she looked from out my eyes, a vision did she
see.A stranger talked of promises, of trust and
guaranties.

She even heard him call her name, in the middle of a
fight, and more and more, would see that with his presence
came a light.

This light, it was much brighter,
than any she had seen.
It chased away the demons,
and it made the shadows scream.
He asked her
for an offering, their partnership to seal, she gave
the only thing she had, of which she knew was
real.
Then, after many moments, when that little girl had
grown,he gave to her a present, wrapped in words of not
alone. She slowly looked beneath the words, and in surprise
she saw, a shiny polished tiny pearl, now more
precious than before.

I try my best to feel nothing
And in that, I feel nothing
No pain, no loss, no disappointment
Or anger.
For passion is my middle name
Every emotion felt and expressed
With intensity beyond explanation

I get scared
That there’s no coming back for me
My broken heart cannot mend
Unlike yours
I just won’t survive
I’ll drown to a depthless death
Leaving an empty shell floating on the surface.
So I leave that switch off.

In all these, I am blameless
Entrusting my fragile heart to another
Is like free falling into an abyss
No landing guaranties
Only uncertainties

They sneak up on me sometimes
Leaving me in a daze
‘Till my body is slammed awake to reality
By my forever guarded heart
Then I fix up the cracked walls
And stay beyond reach.

You seem so certain
Every displayed emotions calculated
The next few moves seemingly planned
I am envious
All your wants seem before you
While I am constantly in search of certainty
Perfection in imperfection
like Chasing stars.
