Someone saw the rain and mention how gloomy it was.
Except it was sunny to me.
Long as you have the breath of life within you.
Nothing is as bad as it seems.

It just depends on your out look.

Don't be like the rich that cried about their losses on the stock market.
For, they failed to understand they was taking chances.
Or the spouse still hurt from the filing of a divorce.

Cause nothing is bad as it seems.

In life the positive will always out weigh the negative.
It just depends on your out look.

If you see bad.
Then bad it will be.
If you chose to stay sad.
Then sadness will become your theme.

It depends on your out look.

Who knows?
God just might be challenging you to see , if you can pull through.
Storms comes with devastion to challenge us.
Some surive.
Some don't.
But in the mix of the storm.
There's always a positive side to see.

It just depends on your out look.

fires all about
sky orange
not from flame
but refracted light from
smoke so thick
you can gather it
in your hand

the flames miles away
for us but for some
on their doorstep
devouring house

ash falls like snow
and sits in drifts
up against firetruck tires

men and women
volunteer warriors
return soot black
and exhuasted
to rest before
returning
to the front

devastation
of wildlife corridors
devastion of small towns
live's lost and broken

and it is still only spring
Our town is one affected by the fires raging on the Coast of NSW Australia,
we had a day where the sky became orange due to the amount and type of smoke...this smoke can be seen on sattelites..our town appears to be have kept safe..but many outlying villages  have been decimated by these massive fires..It as amazing that there has been minimal loss of human life(5deaths at present) but the loss of flora and fauna is unimaginable.. as to homes and infrastructure massive...
We are ok my family and friends have been lucky... but it is and will be a difficult time....for some time...for many in this area...please keep us in your thoughts

I was in love just once
and just with him
I felt right just once
Even though, he was really slim

Full of affection
Weird appreciattion
Fondness of friendship
There was no realization

He was gentle, kind
And he was stuck in my mind
He acted like a child and a real dunce
And that happen more than once

And once we had our play
With smell of hairspray
With Phillip in our way
And when we got stuck like a clay

He had something stuck in his mouth
Words that he couldnt throw out
But I have thrown mine long ago
So, I got stuck in devastion
Of my once love's frustration.
First poem I have ever written, pretty cheesy.
Rori Helsley Feb 2019
My pain was shame,
My truth made the last of her love
Evaporate.

As a child I no longer remain,
No longer to be controlled.

Living in a world of realities,
Not limited by one.

In this choice,
I lost my mum.

For expressing my voice,
When the built up turmoil,
Abuse blew up.

A narc who'd offered the highest
Highs,
With continious drama and viper
Ties.

Never to take responsibility or
Apologise for sinister actions.

More concerned,
For how she appears and how
She is yearned.

Never wanting to learn
Or
To devastion of how she's burnt
