The name of this tune is Mississippi ******
And I mean every word of it

Alabama's gotten me so upset
Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi ******

Alabama's gotten me so upset
Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi ******

Can't you see it
Can't you feel it
It's all in the air
I can't stand the pressure much longer
Somebody say a prayer

Alabama's gotten me so upset
Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi ******

This is a show tune
But the show hasn't been written for it, yet

Hound dogs on my trail
School children sitting in jail
Black cat cross my path
I think every day's gonna be my last

Lord have mercy on this land of mine
We all gonna get it in due time
I don't belong here
I don't belong there
I've even stopped believing in prayer

Don't tell me
I tell you
Me and my people just about due
I've been there so I know
They keep on saying "Go slow!"

But that's just the trouble
"do it slow"
Washing the windows
"do it slow"
Picking the cotton
"do it slow"
You're just plain rotten
"do it slow"
You're too **** lazy
"do it slow"
The thinking's crazy
"do it slow"
Where am I going
What am I doing
I don't know
I don't know

Just try to do your very best
Stand up be counted with all the rest
For everybody knows about Mississippi ******

I made you thought I was kiddin'

Picket lines
School boy cots
They try to say it's a communist plot
All I want is equality
for my sister my brother my people and me

Yes you lied to me all these years
You told me to wash and clean my ears
And talk real fine just like a lady
And you'd stop calling me Sister Sadie

Oh but this whole country is full of lies
You're all gonna die and die like flies
I don't trust you any more
You keep on saying "Go slow!"
"Go slow!"

But that's just the trouble
"do it slow"
Desegregation
"do it slow"
Mass participation
"do it slow"
Reunification
"do it slow"
Do things gradually
"do it slow"
But bring more tragedy
"do it slow"
Why don't you see it
Why don't you feel it
I don't know
I don't know

You don't have to live next to me
Just give me my equality
Everybody knows about Mississippi
Everybody knows about Alabama
Everybody knows about Mississippi ******

That's it!

Through all the fights over desegregation of schools during our trialing shame of racist history.
One group barely gets the attention of people.

They stood strong against those that comprehended their power of authority.
With just voices they demanded authority of hate to step aside when escorting African Americans to one raced schools.

With all laws of power to shoot to defend you never heard one shot fired except getting the kids to school.

Whether in Little Rock or Alabama or other places.
Those that hated never challenged the Federal Marshal assigned duties.

We see no movies.
Barely any type books written on them.
Many of their names never spoken.
But they accomplish their mission to achieved a mission.

This is my tribute to the Federal Marshals of the United States.
Their love is a night of ecstasy in an underground speak easy
Forbidden liquor gracing their lips, turning their blood to the drink of Aphrodite
Dancing, floating, flying in the age of jazz, the age of freedom
Saxophones and metronomes setting tempo to a timeless love affair

Their love is a black and white film projected onto a satin screen
Hundreds of judgmental eyes staring catatonic at a passion they cannot comprehend
Played on repeat, a classic
90 minutes turns to an eternity

Their love is a soldier returning from a distant land,
embracing the feeling of home
Dodging fatal bullets, beating every odd
The very second their lips meet again captured in a famous photograph

Their love is a movement, marching through Washington
Desegregation of the streets, unity at heart
Standing up when staying down is simpler,
Staying one when splitting is easier

Their love is a song that will sit a the top of the charts
When music was the newest form of sustenance
A melody that will not be soon forgotten,
Preserved in the old record hanging on the wall

Their love is falling
Their love is crashing
Their love is burning
Their love is dying

Their love has taken a hit and cannot possibly withstand another
But surely enough, another comes
An understanding is lost,
Terror breaks out

Gasping for breath, for light, for any means
Their love is a world in turmoil, a city in rubles, a date never forgotten
They were not meant to crash
They could not possibly have fallen

Their love is barely breathing, a monitor a-rhythmically beeping
Their love is crumbling with the world's sense of safety,
An event that scarred too deeply

Their love is now erstwhile
As everyone picks up the pieces
Their love ran its course
But fell through the cracks of time
In honor of 9.11 today.

Lawsuits after lawsuits
Protest after protest only slow the  situation down.
Where you find state courts offering their views?
Until the federal courts comes alone and over rule.

In, a changing .
That some groups refuses to adapt too.
The rotating of this world won't wait for you.

Bright minds that placed in power to rule honestly.
Finds , many quickly to disagree with you.
Whether it was desegregation of the schools?
Justice that made abortion legal.

Long before then it was done in close quarters.
History, if ever spotlighted with truth.
With point out a perspective even worst than many ever knew.

Any injustice by any hate group.
Soon with face justice from the mess they do.
The religious zealots needs sin to survive.
There's never be a perfect church on this earth at anytime.
For if there was racism wouldn't exist.
And in church, is where we see most of this?

Same ***, presently is the biggest debate.
And many of us know, this is nothing knew under the sun.
It's addressed in the scriptures like everything else.

And if things hadn't change, from that time.
Then, who's really surprised?
We all can say, 'it's just a matter of time'.
The conclusion of the American Civil War commenced with the articles of surrender agreement of the Army of Northern Virginia on April 9, at Appomattox Court House, by General Robert E. Lee and concluded with the surrender of the CSS Shenandoah on November 6, 1865, bringing the hostilities of the American Civil War to a close.

The First Juneteenth occurred on June 19, 1865, nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln emancipated enslaved Africans in America, Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas with news of freedom. More than 250,000 African Americans embraced freedom by executive decree in what became known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day.

Legally, the war did not end until a proclamation by President Andrew Johnson on August 20, 1866, when he declared "that the said insurrection is at an end and that peace, order, tranquillity, and civil authority now exist in and throughout the whole of the United States of America.

These aren't bad people.
They just don't want their sweet little girls to have to sit next to some ******* buck on the bus, being President Dwight Eisenhower edifying someone about Southerners opposed to desegregation.
