"battledress" poems
ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭ ̀ˋ Fighters in midst of war, A war without guns and bombs so far, instead, a syringe with vaccines and drugs, Wearing PPE battledress, a little snug, Against invisible opponents, that's bizarre, They called front-liners, our star. Despite the danger ahead of them, They still chose to risk their lives, what a gem, So people stay indoor and pray, Wear masks and clean your hands every day. To our dearest front-liners, You are all the best, ever, Will we forget you? never, We will remember you forever. We love you to the core, Today and forevermore, Our precious front-liners, Let's be safe and fight this together.

FRONT-LINERS
Little more than listless guests, we play the game I-need-you-less. Discord, missed turn, second guess; things are different. Bitter? Yes. Weary, naked– I'll confess; you drew your hooked line through my chest so meet me in your battledress and if your blade finds  tender flesh, I swear that with my dying breath I'll say * "I won. I need you less."*

I need you less
Stack your purse with loads of money tra-la-la la-la -la-la you will need it believe me You are going into the land of milk and honey where things are expensive and not so free. The shopping thing is a never ending list items just tag on the end day after each day oh look another bargain not be missed just dig deep in your pocket when it's time to pay The sales are on and were they ever off I think the word "sale" just entices you in The prices just make the mouth froth you lost out and the shop stands to win. Standing in the endless queue Tempers flaring and you just want to cry All for the sake of having something new But it is Christmas and you just have to buy. You have to spend, spend and then spend Squeezing every last penny from your savings Your family has to have the latest trend and you have to satisfy your cravings. So get the battledress on and off you go prepare to keep calm, keep sane We all have to do it, because we know it is that time of year again.

Its That Time Of Year Again
Sporting the battledress of the warrior queen. Her eyes wide open. She's unfurling black banners, while spewing venom, at the blackened retching sky. Midnight crisp approaches, as she grabs the sullen one, Smashes through his barriers, She is the chosen one, And she sings to him, provocatively, luring him in, dashed onto gilded rocks, For he too is the chosen one, the son of sighs, deliver me from death, I beg, oh so unholy one, Once again, he smiles at her, deliverance curtly, through teeth , blackened by his spite, As morning light breaks through the sky, he stops and stoops and wonders why. On hell and Earth, in spite of heaven, Why did he bid goodbye to his wild warrior queen, the royal one, So regally attired in ebony black. For you woman, you seek only the sycophant, Believe him not, It's all a fake, a disguise behind which he hides, Forget her not, she  still wants you, Wants to rip your **** in two, no chance at forgiveness, for making the lady blue, You, with the faces of loyal Gemini, you state, categorically state, the woman, the one, that woman, And f**k, as inside you walk, right in again, As inside you go again, Here you go again, letting your passion, cause more pain.
