 Aug 2014 Winter Silk
PineTree
In the distance a distilled figure stands, still unmoving, holstering a faded face.

Towards it moves , crackling leaves, sticks snap.

I tremble in fear, a rumble erupts, running towards the jungle as I tingle, in uncertainty.

A path of light clears the haze I look to the sky, a dim of light.

Telling me that I should stand up for  what is right

Face the unknown with fear, but when seen there is no need.

Friend or foe, I'll choose, power it has, courage it lacks.

Back off I say, it stares a stunned, a ghastly stare, a glimmer of light.

Daylight has arrived, relieved but  amazed by what it was, grasping for air, so its true.

Do not let fear tame you, for it cannot. You are your own fear, you tame yourself.
Just a poem about fear. Feedback is greatly appreciated

You were once the piece of skin
that got stuck in between the threads of my words

So don't ask me why my poems about you
are downright slurred

nina temple
goddess of fire,
with starry eyes and speckled skin,
a true wonder to her empire,

she ate flesh and lives under,
the secret parts of the holy earth,
stuck,
alone,
the whispers and hisses as her only companion.

no one deserves to be alone.

Put me in your pocket,
keep me safe
like the paper fragment
I wrote this on
and never gave to you.
Oh me, oh my. It would seem that I've forgotten how to count!
