Hey
When I’m old and grey
That isn’t that far away
They won’t be putting me in a home
I’ve decided I will roam!

So off on a cruise, back to back,
Take in the views, eat and snack,
Sit in the sun, have so much fun
Enjoy the shows, anything goes!
I’ll have the time of my life,
Before I die,
There will be no strife,
so don’t even cry!
I’m making the most!
Before I’m a ghost
And enjoy my life whilst I am alive!

There’s so much green in our garden
From the willow tree to the bamboo
The apple tree , the holly bushes and the tomato plant
Not to forget the butterfly tree
It’s all celestial to me!

When someone has sorrow
And needs to just borrow
A hug from the heart
Well that’s just a start!

Give hugs And support from the heart!

Off to the field with Moose
So she can run around loose
She met a little friend, a fellow terrier
And ran around together
Sniffing each other’s derrière
Cos that’s what dogs do
She had so much fun
She didn’t half run
Until it was time to go
Back on the lead I know
We trotted back home quite slow
And then back to status quo!

I see it in your eyes
There’s no surprise
The glow from your soul
And the love on the whole
Is deep within
Just let us in!

No one is born bad
I know that you’re sad
It’s the damage from without
That caused the doubt
but now you are changing
Into a beautiful soul
With love in your heart
And good on the whole!

The wind is like
An angry tyke
Rattling and shaking Everything as it goes
Dashing down Allie ways
In its temper like throws
Knocking over anything in its path
Travelling along in its wrath
And when it is done
Everywhere windswept when it’s gone!

Christmas is a happy happy time
Time to enjoy A tipple or two
mulled wine Will do
Turkey as a tradition Or a goose or a duck
Depends on  who’ll cook
Presents by the Christmas tree
For everyone you and me
Singing Christmas songs
Sat by the fire with roasted chestnuts in tongs
Thinking of all the good things gone by!

She grew up in Poverty
She was Sad lonely brat
Told me about her childhood
But wasn’t just that

The horrific stories
She has told
Make your hair stand on end
Lo and behold

But she grew up strong
And fought the good fight
But was it still wrong
To end up a lady of the night

At least she got by
Lucky not to die
But her sad stories
They did make me cry!

It’s 03.30 in the morning
The air is fresh but not too cool just right for the night outside!
It’s hot inside.
The fan is going !
The air is flowing!
No air con!
Not got one!
And everyone and everything is sleeping but Moose and me!
She is wide awake and there’s no telling her!
I tried, believe me !
But she kept tap, tap, tapping me until I got up!
But It’s time to sleep!
It’s quiet except for the very odd car passing by and my belly making noises!
Sam the cat passed by on top of the fence walking back and to, like a centurion on guard!
Sam finally came in followed by Moose!
I thought, great back to bed! But oh no, no she’s off out to the back again having a ****** snack!
Snack now sorted and she’s having a chew!
Nows the time I need the loo!
Well it’s five past four!
And what is more I need to sleep!
So back to bed!  
I need my bed to rest my tired and weary head!
And you know Moo is back in bed before me!
Hmmm I see!
That said it’s all gone quiet!
That’s fine,
Sleepy time and I won’t be up before nine!

A few lines
Maybe more
Can be less
But yes
Oh bless
Can be short
Could be tort
With rhythm and rhyme
No matter what
It’s just divine!
And all just self taught!

It’s the simple pleasures in life that keep us going, that I am knowing!
The Early morning  fresh perfume smell of flowers in the early hours,
That peaceful, calmness and quietness on a Sunday morning, when the day is dawning,
Whilst walking the dog, I’m in a fog,
Time to ponder, to think, through that black ink,
And this all makes me feel, the real deal,
It’s the beautiful things that keep us going and simple pleasures, the seeds are sowing,
The plants are growing,
Makes me appreciate my life, despite any toil despite any strife!

I love you Moose
From your hair on your head
To the tip of your tail
Curled up next to me in my bed
Outside it’s blowing a gale

You stick to me like glue
I know you love me too
With the things that you do

I stoke your head
And you lick my hand

You lick me
You kick me
You push me out of bed
But I know that you love me
Especially when you’re fed
You’d **** the cat
If he comes near
Jealousy is that
My only fear!

That I can see
With the things that you do
Or can it just be
As you cuddle up to me
The warmth from me
And the love for you
Which says that I love you

What a Treat
Lockdown still and with all my will I just wanna sleep! With a broken leg and ankle I can’t do much anyway so hey what’s it today! Three thirty in the afternoon and I’ve been brought a treat! Spicy *** and coke hey it’s nice and sweet! It helps the painkillers work, TUT, TUT! I know I’ve been a nut ! And even at home I still have to work. Some would say that’s good! I’d give it all up if I could! I love writing poems, it truly is such fun! Because I can’t go out for a run! Don’t think I would anyway! Im a A couch potato I would say! The most I used to do is walk the dog it’s true! No she walked me! Well I’m off to sleep again. It sure will make me heal. And stop me going insane.

I heard a growl beside me
Shadows by my side I see
The dog started barking
Has something stared sparking

I felt a draft of air on my arm
I know they’ve done no harm
It felt theres something near
A ghost or ghoul I fear

I checked around
But there wasn’t any sound
Everything was quiet and calm
Whatever, it is, it’s done no harm!

Ghosts never scare me
but goosebumps I could see
There was something quite strange
Around me, or in my space or range!

Ghosts are welcome here
I do not  have a fear
We’re happy to just share
I haven't got a care!

Peace is what we need
Peace to those who heed
Peace I only plead
Peace or we will bleed!

I woke up to the rain
I felt it in my bones
I feel it in my brain

The rain is here to stay
Yet another day of rain
And thunder forecast today

The plants have already been fed
Too much rain now
They’ll End up drowned or dead

Too much of anything isn’t Very good
So they say
And from where I’m stood

Bring back the sun
To warm my bones and brain
And give the plants some fun

Chocolate I like a lot
Nuts especially mixed or hot
Popcorn with butter and salt
Chunks of cheese yes please
An olive or two will also do!

On a positive note in May in lockdown 2020

Waking up to a sunny day can’t be a better May I’d say!
We’re still alive and live to see another day, despite what’s going on.
It’s now May and the grass is green, the willow tree and blossom are in bloom,
Thank goodness for a garden it’s like another room!
We don’t know how long this lockdown will go on for but it’s to keep us safe, so keep your faith !

Just think what you can do
Help those in need
Is all that we can do
To make a better me and make a better you
And the world will be a better place!

Everyone and every living thing in this universe
Matters in life,
Everyone no matter who or what in this verse
Needs love,
We all need each other
And need to live in harmony!

Everyone should just stop for a minute to think or even bother,
And feel the love
Like the trees do,
The butterflies and bees do
And the flowers and seas do!

We are all alive
And a long time dead!
Be kind to each other
Watch what you say and think what you said,
Only speak  of good or just don't bother,
Think twice, and be nice to the living,
Consider your friend, stranger, sister, brother,
By being kind, thoughtful, loving and giving !

Right for spite

Stomach churning
Belly burning
Acid reflux
Drink some milk it will help!

It’s a dark dark morning
And the wind is blowing a gale
Too many sprouts my husband says
He said I’ll blow him away!

Excited
delighted
Success
Yes

One
One word
You may have overheard
One life
You May have caused some strife
One soul
You could have met your goal
One minute
You may have been in it!

One smile
You could go the extra mile

It wouldn’t go amiss

The wind and the rain
Is going to cause chaos today
So the weather people say
Danger to life
For those I pray
Floods
Broken trees
With all that’s going on in the world
This we don’t need
Mother Nature must be angry
At how we abuse the world
Why can’t they stop all this fighting
Is all Mother Nature pleads
We should live and cherish our world
It is a beautiful place
What the world needs now
Is LOVE!

Why do plants have to die
My Christmas tree
Is No longer with me
Its pines have turned red
I think it is dead
The lavender bush
Its branches all wizened not lush
Like it used to be
I don't know what happened
But its happened to me
It could have been the blast of the sun
Too hot, well it was for me
Then all the rain
It just didn't drain
And drowned my babies you see!

Six feet two
Build like a brick wall
But that’s not all
A heart to melt you!

He’s so kind
In the early days
We wined and dined
And had Fantastic holidays to Mexico!

So happy together
Thought it would be forever
But now my body guard
Has fallen hard!

He’s a poorly man
But I do what I can
I give him my upmost love
I take care of his every need
I love him and care
I try to be there
As much as I can
Because he is such a very good man!

Nothing lasts forever
We all eventually have to go
But I’m holding on tight
Because he’s such a delight
I always think things will be alright
We’ll always be together
It would have been forever
As I thought
But that was all thrawt!

Now I’m getting old
I’m getting old and grey and need more sleep,
I nod in the chair, as I drop my book,
Now half read, as I dream of a more youthful look,
My eyes were once smooth, now the shadows are deep,
I need more sleep!

But he used to love my moments of grace,
And my youth that was, was so true,
But my man loves me as I am believe me do,
And accepted my ageing changing face,
As I slowly age with simple grace!

It’s so hot right now
Sweat rolling down my brow
Can’t complain
We have had rain
But it’s hot again

Oh how nice
It is to have a glass of ice
Ice packs under my arms
Ice packs in my palms

Can’t complain
Had some rain again
Thunder followed To be fair
But it hasn’t really cleared the air

We always desire the sun
But now I desire the cold
Iceland here I come
I’m still hot despite the ice packs that I still hold!

They say stress is under our control
But life’s ups and downs
Spin you round and round
Making you dizzy
Making it harder to play
So press the button
Tell it to stop
Sit right down
Before you drop
Think just for a minute
Of calmness and peace

Will help you survive
The stress
That makes the mess

Wind Inspired

I feel the wind upon my face,
It’s blowing like a gale in space,
It’s cold and harsh,
It hits you like a hammer!
I’m waiting for the sun to shine
It’s trying it’s best to break through the clouds in time,
When Will it come out and play again?
The trees are waving
Furiously in the wind,
My fear is if they fracture,
Their lovely branches,
of green and luscious leaves !
Need hiding from the vicious wind ! And very naughty nature!

The Hunters moon was amazing
It lit up the sky
It had me gazing
I wished I could fly
But I wouldn’t try
My heart was racing
Looking up high
In that beautiful sky
Just simply amazing !
