Where are you?
They buried you
in a sleep in the air
so I must mourn you
everywhere;
even with this poem,
this cenotaph,
this memorial
to the notches
you left inside
your son.

Bones
I'm rocking with the mountain sides,
I'm rattling with the desert snakes,
I'm dancing the many dances around me.
I can hear the song of the leaves crunching,
Listen close to the wind whistling,
Can you hear it too?

Kim
And when everything quiets down,
when the dirt settled at the bottom of the jar,
you start to crawl your way inside my mind.
the familiar temperature.
the warm feeling of yellow.

And the pain continues.
you
not the flower but
the bee kissing
rosebuds, making
living things
bloom

you
no sunrise on
mountains but
the sun
herself, every
flame burning fierce
sploding gainst
the sky

you
not an ocean but
a stream softly
babbling
and rescuing
us,
the lonely
the lost

you
not forever
but tragically
temporary
and every
moment
you are here
i will be
what i am -
the pollen,
the planets,
the wanderer,
the poet -
dedicated to
loving
you

Me
You come to me
in felt moments
little shivers
from the future
or what we call it
walk through me
take
my hand and comfort
the brave kid
that waits for us
in the past

We'll do this,
You tell me,
until the loops grow smaller and smaller and
finally merge and we all
meet
in the middle
to smile and share
a cup of tea
and sit in peace
together
What a ride
