on a bobbing heads
short legs
strutting about

strong and swift
as a hickory stick
awarded a medal
for serving in the air force
carrying messages
back and forth
in both world wars

Shallow minds usually drown
in deep waters conversations
But they never fear
What they don’t know.

reflected her

earth mother

a mired hell
her purr
