your personality
is the product of your conditioning from childhood
where you were modeled certain behavior
one's conditioning is made up of
coping mechanisms
boundaries or lack there of
relationship dynamics
emotional regulation
core belief systems
we only know what we know
unless we choose to pursue more
more than what we know

I haven't wrote in a while and my words fell silent
But the war in my head still remains violent
I've changed so much and come a long way
Pushing through day by day
I've missed these poems, they kept me sane
These poems I write take away the pain

I long for your voice.

“You are ageless,” says time with a laugh. I needed a photograph to track my past. The future is alluring, the present is getting blurry, the past chimes in with an “I told you so” so I stood up tall, head held high, and accepted that even the truth wouldn’t make me cry. “This is when you know it's over, my friend”.
