Changes long overdue
But not acted upon or met
Tears falling and not understood like feelings wiped away
and locked in time
Believe what you need to care about
Respect others differences and rights
Religion and politics are left and checked at the door
When you take your shoes off
Make sure that you read and ask pertinent questions
Listen and think before you speak so you are understood
Look very carefully at the prisms
Colors are bright,bold,subtle and beautiful
When you open your eyes and your heart
Prisms of voices appear

Rules are meant to be adapted and broken
Pain leaves scars and you must find a way to heal even though that is insurmountable at times
This is a challenging and heart breaking time when people are killed because of their beliefs and lifestyle
Instead of hiding under a rock or waging a war
Learning  from History and not allowing it to repeat itself would be a start
Neat trick if you can accomplish it
We can forgive but never forget
Reading books would be a start
Keep learning because nobody knows it all
Protecting your heart and nurturing your mind requires yiu to tune in and tune out
Sometimes I wonder what direction we will go in if we just allow the status quo to continue?
My guess is that we will be better than we thought possible
Just remember that nobody is above the law even in the court of public opinion

The last four years have been beyond comprehension but no matter what I have heard and experienced the words stay positive.
Many things have changed but having heart and calm saves the day.
Some things stay the same and for others, you adapt to the times and issues as best you can.
There is so much to see and do.
If you have given up, please don't think of taking me with you.

She walked slowly displaying grace and beauty with her mistress on the boardwalk
Her paws barely touching each plank
She is eighteen years old as of yesterday
Her owner said it was her last walk
A stunning golden angel will grace the Rainbow Bridge soon

Not doomsday, sorry still have to believe
The future will be different but we will have one
Parties, celebrations, dinners ,vacations are on pause
We anxiously await their return
Perhaps, we have learned just how precious they all are
Just as the family and friends we hold so very dear
We have lost so much and not sure what we have gained
We are all still in some type of mourning
The stages of that all have to be dealt with
So,we deal and no you don't have to like it
Just so you know we are in this together but differently
See long ago, we were taught how to hate and fear

We need to stop listening to yesterday's messages and find a new today getting us towards tomorrow

Mother nature's tears are falling in droves and droplets
Shades of gray and silver skies blanket the big apple
Masked citizens look in their parks and favorite places waiting for the pause to end

It is an August not soaking rain but getting there
People are driving but destinations unknown
The bakery had great Danish so it went home first trip
This was a longer walk and very quiet until he appeared
This little ball of golden sunshine that should be on a tropical island
sang for me and fluttered his feathers
As he flew to his mates,Clearly, the choices we make can lead us to encounter that brightened my soul and lifted a wounded spirit

42 degrees with high winds and humidity to boot
Staying in doors doesn't cut it any longer
See there is a rainbow waiting to greet me as it always finds me
Faded or bright it doesn't really matter
No matter where I roam
It is my beloved daddy saying hello
He passed long ago but he always comes to call

Golden eagles fly above
Majestic creatures soaring safely and free
The coast hears their gentle cries
It needs to be heard and respected
Ginger squirrels are back and thrive
Hooper swans in the waterways
Human and natural History make each other better
This is all precious and few
Extraordinary vistas so vital
We have much to admire and learn from
Journey continues to museums, live performances, and restaurants and joints but with a camera in hand and a grin wider than to be believed

Show me where the Atlantic ocean befriends the Irish sea
Golden eagles fly over head
Majestic creatures soaring over the coast
Ginger squirrels rebounded and came home to stay
They thrive like the Hooper swans
Extraordinary creatures in the waterways, the trees, and skies
We have much to admire and learn from them
They are all precious and vital
Enjoy museums, History, and live performances
No need for alcohol or baking in the sun
Let me walk on beaches and climb rocks
Epicurean in restaurants and joints
Not fancy linen tables or Stemware
No five meals a day
Cooking lessons and out of the way tastes and places
Maybe a cruise to Alaska to sea the Polar Bears and the Whales
The journey continues on a tour bus or by foot
The friendly skies know I will fly when the time is right

Patient and caretaker
Somehow the soul won't heal as quickly as one wishes
Is your heart beating differently?
Do you recognize yourself and what surrounds you?
How did things change so quickly?
Did you ignore the signs?
Could it be getting better meant so much more than you realized?
It takes a lot to feel better as you recover.
Recovery is for the patient as well as their loved ones and friends
Things are not quite as they once were

His death won't be in vain
All human beings matter and as one people we should honor that.
The days of this is my house and I do as I **** please are over
If you grew up like that with Archie Bunker types than no explanation is needed

It is hard to smile and laugh right now but find the time to do so

Divi trees that went on for miles in Aruba
Incredible Prince Edward Island's pristine beauty
The Sistine Chapel and the Vatican
The incredible trip to Carmel California and wanting to rent there two times a year

Florence wants me to finish her museums
Need more than a half day in  Switzerland but we will return

Recently visited Honah Lee in Hawaii.
Peter's song about Puff was recorded when I was very young.
We saw the area for Puff and the inspiration for the lyrics
We all sang along on the tour bus.
The sweetness and creativity was touching and endearing.
Maybe we need to revisit the meaning and genuiness now more than ever before.

Remember you took your friend there
You bought roasted chestnuts
You didn't hold her hand but stood close by
You gave her a big box with a beautiful brown Teddy Bear
That bear will be forty one years old today
The tree was not visited this year but you have memories of other visits
You have shared your name and life with her for forty years
What greater gift can there be
