Used to think that was selfish but as the caring and giving type
not so sure anymore
Kindness is something to strive for and is my nature
Lately, not sure if the good ones can seize the day
The members of that team are wiping tears away hoping a smile will come through while trying to seize the day

Getting mixed messages
How much common sense and sense did we lose in 2020?
Are we still losing?
Are you still arriving?
Are we writing the truth?
Find a balance between old school and new school thinking

We are imbalanced as it is

Cervantes taught us that living passionately is the best course to follow
As caring and as giving as you may very well be

Something changed when the words work to live became a mantra
Celebrating friends and family with a joy never known before
Just because and a dolce vita state of mind
You enjoy and take out the good stemware and stuff for special occasions every day

When you come full circle
Revolving doors can be painful
Watch for sharp corners that might deter you
That includes people and places too
Others lurk where you least expect them
Shut the doors behind you for those who stayed a while, but their time is up
They no longer play a role in your life
Be grateful they were there at all
Take that deep breath
You earned it
It took a lot out of you to reach this intersection and plateau
You crossed it
Know that you did, but don't revel in it for too long
It served its purpose and down the road it will be a private smile that only you will recognize
Just remember this when you come full circle
You now know what matters the most, so take care of yourself
Those that will always be there for you are in reach even when you
are out of touch
Just look over your shoulder

Legislating it or demanding it goes to deaf ears
When those ears are appealed to with care, respect, and understanding perhaps they will make a difference no matter how they choose to do so or not
Conservationists do their utmost as well as those who support their efforts
Nature and her children deserve so much more than we give to them
You may dislike hunters and poachers
You may not like zoos and parks with wildlife entertainment
You know you can't buy love but you can adopt it
You know their are cruel and heartless monsters pretending  to be human that discard their pets on the road

Do my eyes behold something strange?
You were safe and cozy waiting for me to return from my walk.
Walking on the roads to avoid the trees because of potential thunder on this stormy day.
Decked out in rain gear and my trusty umbrella.
As I walk up the hill heading home, my eyes fill with tears because my beloved is in our car and is coming to rescue me on a stormy morning.
He said, you would call if there was a problem but then I heard the rain coming down fiercely.
I cried as my bespectacled knight in our car drove me home.

Along with everything in between
One people of different ideas and backgrounds
Respect and enjoy your culture and religion freely

The criminals that lurk need to be brought to justice even if they have held the highest office in the land along with their cronies
Even the guy that sells pillows
Fearing for the listeners of his podcast
Just once let us all be people who care
Just once let us be people trying to get it right when those who are powerful and follow them have gotten things so wrong
Stop judging and start repairing the harm that has been done
There real life Archie and Edith Bunkers are out there.
The pandemic is real
Families and friends have succumbed to it
What about children?
Education is everywhere not just in school
Take children to the library and read in front of the kids in your life
Go to museums and talk to your children
Virtual visits work too
Digital literacy is only one way not the only way
Boomer, Generation Xer etc stop putting us into labelled boxes

There are 96 colors in a Crayola box now

You really have to hear and not listen
Certain people feel the need to say it all without regards to your feelings
Their opinion reigns supreme no matter the reasons or circumstances
The caveat here is to not let it disturb your sleep or how they are making you feel
You can deal but the truth is you can tell them off or turn a deaf ear
No matter what you do you just have to let it go or let them go because they wag their tongues without self control

You lead the charge eloquently
So very funny and endearing

The evidence is out there

Cold and cloudy
Yet Blue birds landed in great flocks
Squirrels came  out of nowhere
Enticing smells
Delicious shelled roasted unsalted nuts
So quietly the human watched as tney munched and devoured quietly

Cream colored
Fuschia blushed
All dancing on the wind
Spice rack colored leaves
paid them no attention
as the wind went unnoticed in the big Apple

What appears to be surreal is real for some?
It is what it is, is getting old.

Little girl looked amazed and grateful as a stranger gave her a toy dog from a crane arcade machine at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights New Jersey.
Her wheelchair bound grandmother was speechless and her face lit up like Santa’s gifts left under a Christmas tree,
Be a do gooder but remember sometimes a smile is enough

This stunning Blue Jay chose to fly after every step I took
It is incredibly warm today but this little stunner was flying from tree to mailbox keeping up with me

So were ages 15 and 12.
That is what we were
Another Father's day and the pain comes slowly but still with us
You are with our hearts and minds
Wanted to spoil you but time was against us  
On beaches and places you never visited
How we wish we could shower you with gifts
Most of all to hear your voice again

Darkness was my only friend
My friends had no idea and maybe a clue
Even Happily married because had to find my way back to him
He has been there every step of the way
Patience and help brought me through the storms
They still return but not as often
Walk them and write them away
Find ways to help others even though they might not be aware that I care
You will find it
No matter what it is to soothe things
Asking for help that was the most difficult part
Admitting something was more than off kilter
Even though I have been there
Just know it is different for everybody
2020 didn't help and it lingers
Been there and you fight gently
