Five years of research

This year it will be published and I am nervous
Poetry has always been my friend and companion
Always will be

Will update you all

You said what you felt
Never taking into account the pain you caused
Hurting me is par for the course
Hurting someone else is intolerable
So the door is open
The phone won't ring
Text messages and Facebook will stop
Say what you will but you have no edit button
Frankly, my life matters not only yours \
Always about you
It is all about you as usual
So we are On Hold
Time is said to heal most wounds
Not sure this time

If there were more hours in the day
Other ways to show you what you already know
In the quiet of the morning
In the still of the night
Perhaps Afternoon Delight?
Hands held in silence that speak louder than any words ever could.
If there is a better love then we have it
As our wedding song states to save every day til eternity passes away just to spend them with you

Drawn to Pooh, Paddington, and the Care Bears.
They adorn my home office and are my heart.
Working virtually somedays,they keep me company
Looking at them makes me comfortable
Kindness, goodness and sensitivity define me
Those that take advantage or try have been in my tears and hurt my heart
Villains and the vicious are forewarned to get out of my way

Have friends but few

Writing has always been my best friend along with my spouse
Most of my walks are alone

Clears my senses and I do write in my head while walking
Watching nature and dogs being walked makes me happy
Pet some dogs then on my way
More enjoyable that noisy complaints or nonsense
Learned to listen acutely and speak when necessary
There is good noise and bad
Rooting for the good
Loner but not lonely

Your way or the highway
You’re a one-way street
It is always about you
Your narcissistic tendencies just need to send them packing
Cried the last tear
No more sleepless nights
You call others selfish but truth be told it is you that is
Call me sensitive or whatever you like
For now, Don’t call
Stay clear
Enough is enough
Not slamming the door shut
Just keeping my distance
Time may not heal this wound
Not another moment until you learn it’s not always about you

Anybody hurting or abusing them is the worst act
The consequences are dealt with by the charities that we support
So when paws pass you by or if you are lucky enough to call them family
Remember how dear they are

An old friend said writing it down won't do
He was unclear that writing is my art and my lifelong friend
Every essence,nuance,color  travel is captured in my mind
Then it is crafted and when I feel it works then it becones a poem

Cold and cloudy
Yet Blue birds landed in great flocks
Squirrels came  out of nowhere
Enticing smells

So quietly the human watched as tney munched and devoured quietly

Flashback to another time and place
The day the angels came and took my beloved Daddy away
I saw it happen and watched as you suffered and you were gone at 45
They are not angels to me but the word I would use does not belong here
Now as I look at your children, their spouses, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.
I have to hold the tears until 8 am on that awful day
Mom has been with you for four years so there is solace in knowing that
You would be proud of our accomplishments and the promises that were kept
We are far from done yet
We love you and miss you
