Several years ago a horrible cry came from the park.
A feral cat was killing a squirrel
Many people feed the cats so this made me incredibly sad
Yesterday I saw two squirrels in trees flicking their tails to signal danger or a problem
A white and gray cat was watching their every move on the trees
Ready to pounce or make her way to the tree
I stood there watching for a while hoping that the cat would leave
I hope next time I feed the squirrels that they are all safe and sound
I love animals and am involved in animal charities but this hurt my heart to view
This was survival of cruelty

Walking has become a healthy means to reframe and enjoy every day or start that way.
No music, no podcasts only nature's sounds and music
It's healthy.
It's calming.
For the last four years of battling diseases of those close to the heart and Dear Friends, pain, hurdles, and sorrow
It has become a great friend
It doesn't read my poetry
It doesn't promise to write book reviews that have yet to come to fruition
Walking for hope, and charitable causes and to see what the world can be
Walking for and with Hope

You're a nobody
You're nothing
Am I somebody?
Every time that I write I feel the power
I am a storyteller
How I found my family and how they found me
As they get to know me
Those people I am coming to know through stories and photographs
shaped who we are
As I write the book, I asked questions
The answers only Heaven knows

He reminded me of my visit to Walden Pond and how I tore my heel because I didn't own hiking boots.
Since corrected.
I touched his desk in disbelief
My thoughts on the Civil Disobedience book and how I much prefer Walden
We stopped as the ducks sat on a log in the pond and waited until the Goose march ended with the geese taking flight
Thinking he is one of my muses and I am grateful
He lived long ago but never far away

Tomorrow is 43 years
Laughter, Love, Hurdles, and Tears
Too many goodbyes and happily some Welcomes and Hellos
There is my one and only and it still shows
More to today than yesterday what I sign in all of your cards
MTTY , my WPIA
Love you more than any poem I will ever compose

C@rainbowchaser2023
you are still my WPIA

He seems to know when it is being prepared by the aroma.
The human guy enjoys it and he waits for a slice or two
that he will share
His human mom hates meatloaf and doesn't tell her it's a hamburger because it is not.
For her husband and Pups, she will acquiesce.
Now and then
Pups eat meatloaf.
