i am in a haze today. it is cloudy and beautiful outside. it is also pressing down on my chest and i struggle for air. i wore your shirt to bed last night and it helped steady my oxygen supply. i wish you were here to say my name and speak to me in my native tongue to remind who i am and where i've come from. i'm forgetting everything, slowly. recreating yourself is only good when you haven't done it five thousand times over. i just want to be me now. but how do i become me if there is no you? pick me up from the library and walk me to class. hold my hand and tell me that you will stay with me no matter how grey the sky is or how cold my fingers feel.

I had forgotten...
How sunny it was that day
When I first met you
And you shyly said “Hey”

I had forgotten...
How your face turned red
when you asked me out.
You didn’t care who was watching.
You said it loud and proud.

I had forgotten...
How good the movie was
on our first date.
How much we laughed.
And how much we ate.

I had forgotten...
How warm your hand was.
And how comforting
your hugs were.

I had forgotten...
How beautiful you smiled.
And how you would say
“I Love You” everyday.

I had forgotten...

I simply had forgotten...
How much I loved you.
Even after we parted ways.
I didn’t realize how much
Until you went away.

She dances in the roses
feels him in the air,
he gives her all she needs
for his love is always there.

It surrounds her like the scent
of the beautiful rose she wears,
he always hold her close to him
so she always knows he cares.

She won’t ever let go
she promised him that,
for the trust she has in him
is a trust that will always last.

He’s her dream
that beautifully came true,
now they dance in moonbeams
as their rose scent dreams come true.
