Poetry is my best friend
the rainbow that spins
words that raise and mend
It’s my life story retold
a lover that caresses
a primer to the dents

Well... it’s always been
as mama talks and shows
the depths of my child journal
were memories are a star
a companion to a recluse
a whisper that sustains

Poetry has fixed a soul
one that was locked in rocks
restless and manipulated
courageous and guided
‘tis now it ignites reverently
leading me to places unknown
I loved you at hello
I'll do at goodbye
Cherished you from the start
I think I'll do even after the end
I've been with you at your high
and will stay through your low
since you was young
and even after you've lost the glow
I will love you
because I do...

A year does not fail, because there are no years
There are only seasons dancing through being
The choreography of Creation
Written with meteors dreamed out of stars

And so the first day of January
Is the thirty-second of December
And neither is either or even itself
But only a mark that says left foot forward

Continuing a step from beyond forever –
The year does not fail, because there are no years

Oh, but the pain we suffer
Alone in the dark, at night
Ruminating lifes agonizing flaws

Piles of letters on the floor
Apologies and final farewells
Meaningless attempts to explain

A hammer pressed tightly
Placing an end in its sight
Groping the thighs of death

Fingers typing ferociously
Attempting to explain the pain
To those that deserve it not

Scattering pointless words
For the world to see and mock
Tear filled heart dumps the final breath

An ocean away, and a draped face
Covered by the endless miles
Stretches out her love

Tonight a friend has added the minutes
Abolishing the hooded beast
Saturatiing the darkness with hope
Hugging away the darkness

Oh the light that the precious soul
Touching the darkest corners
Emitted light with radiance

The sparkle in the heart
Ignites a glorious fire
Burning bright for all to see

Oh but only if
The arms could
Stretch a few more miles

Thank you my friend
For saving me from the end
It is my love I send
Even when you feel as if there is no hope, god will send someone to touch you soul and give an ounce of hope. Thank you so much my friend.

You are present as a passing breeze,
carrying the scent of lavender,
caressing my waiting hands
with a gentle brush.
But like the wind,
you are felt by
all
you surround,
and you wistfully drift away
before I can breathe you in.
WHO WE ARE MEANT TO BE

We all enter
the dark.

Observe our faces
suspended like the masks

of who we were
who we may now

never be.

Our faces glower
back at us

stare back at us
like our own ghosts.

We gaze into the eyes
of the others

each of us ashamed
of who we are

who we never
became.

Time becomes audible
the seconds clickety clacketying by.  . .

we emerge into the light
our faces full of countryside

high speed cows
cows on speed

telegraph poles....suburbs

out of the tunnel
into the light

arriving at who
we were meant to be.
Yes, I heard your apology
You foolish, foolish kid
Don't you know the best apology
Is one you never have to give
