True Passion Dec 2016
Words flowing from the pen
Ink creates a story
Sometimes Vivid vision
Deep from within

The moment your eyes past
The words of a fellow poet
You were stung
Never to recover

Love at first sight is not real
Yet here it happened
Given to search each day
Deciding to read what is laid

Your eyes must see
That you cannot express
No reason to hurt
Passions too strong to resist

Pulling away from desires
Brushing them from your mind
Turbulence cannot be avoided
Commitment to another

Reality expressed so easily
Feelings never available before
Does this answer the question
Where do they fit in your heart

Rain falls; licks, and tastes-
drips and drops from contours, traced.
Lightning's lash, electric laced;
anxieties anticipate
but under clouds bears no escape-
and here I find my fury: fate.
Twisted bouquet of buildings placed;
no windows, stares an eyeless face.
Hollowed husks commiserate,
though storm will wash and dissipate.
These diseased dreams lie dead, disgraced;
tombs for what I desiccate,
and blood upon this dead landscape;
but hurriedly, its here I haste
for fear of losing steady pace.

When I wake each and every day
It's you on my mind in so many ways
Right from the day we met
Our eyes were locked and paths were set
Without hesitation I offer myself to you
This is only because you are so true

We are together
Together forever
Our love is unmatched
By any other

We knew it would not be in perfect fashion
But all that is done is for love and passion
Our paths met for perfect reason
We will love one another through every season
Why didn't we meet before now?
Because our paths were designed somehow
Our past determines who we are today
Our love grows from this in every way

We are together
Together forever
Our love is unmatched
By any other

From parenting young kids playing in the park
To being old sitting on our porch in the dark
Sharing lives forever
We will always be together
Being best friends has brought many smiles
Having your back through the miles
We are where we are supposed to be
There is a reason for you and me

We are together
Together forever
Our love is unmatched
By any other
This was once reality.  Things have taken such a drastic turn.  Anyway it was only me who thought this were true I was living such a dream I think.  You live with someone and think they feel the same as the days pass.  Then reality hits you.   Do we EVER feel the same about each other at the same time? Through the years you begin to realize this is just a fallacy. Love is never really meant to be unless it is for our children.  Even when your heart says it is real it seems to be the deep feelings you have at the time that makes you think it is real.  It sure plays tricks on your mind. Wishing everybody a special Christmas with loved ones.

The sun awaits
just beyond the horizon.
Time gets scarcer
as it bathes us
in its glow.
And our bodies can only
afford to
crumble to dust.

All that we know,
what we knew,
will only be cast...
Imprisoned.
Within the tight confines
of expiring memory.

We must pave a way
to a secret place.
A route to safety...
One that we could share.
Somewhere only we know.

I'll go to this place
where no one can.
I'll wait and anticipate
your arrival at this place...
A place only we know.
Inspired by Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know"
(I)

Pale mulberry was the sky,
No bird dared to fly!
Thus all seemed wrong,
But then, you came along
Suddenly like summer rain
And quelled away my pain.

(II)

Velvet blue was the sky,
No bird dared not to fly!
Thus all seemed right,
And as pure as a cloud in white,
When suddenly like the rainbow,
You quelled away thy heavenly glow.

(III)

Dark grey is the sky,
No bird seems to ever fly!
Athwart my wild blue yonder
Where I, indignantly do ponder
Night and day wondering why,
We can't give it just one more try.

(IV)

Pitch black is always the sky,
But, faster than any bird I'll fly!
Swifter than a scudding cloud
Whilst calling upon you so loud,
All the way to a strange plain,
Just to ever feast about you again.

(V)

Magenta magic will always be the sky,
When once again we'll merilly fly!
Then, flowers once again shall bloom,
To see you and me as bride and groom
By a placid Mulberry Moon on the rise,
To kindle our enchanted paradise.

It was more than love -
A love beyond limits...
They were the first to discover
This newfound emotion,

It wasn't from this world,
It was divine - It must have fallen
From the heavens
When the skies opened;
There must have been
A titanic galactic explosion.

This newfound emotion
Rained down upon them,
That very first night
That their eyes met,
As they both gazed up
To the brilliant pure-white stars,

They were pulled together
By a magnetic energy,
They saw more than love light-up
In each other's eyes -
This was when
Their two worlds collided;
This was when
Venus fell for Mars.
