Want Is Like a Plaster
Toulin Hussein Nov 2014
I want money
I want to live in a country that’s sunny
I want a jewellery box full of gold
I want a husband that’s extremely bold
I want all the most expensive cars
But then I stop and think can these things heal away the scars ?
I want caviar for every side dish
I want a tank full of butterfly fish
I want Channel I want Dior
I want the most amazing house decor
I want a diamond necklace that twinkles like stars
But then i stop and think can these things heal away the scars?
I want the best tasting champagne
I want to be at the top of the food chain
I want a Mac
I want my mother in law to have a heart attack
I want to buy and smoke the best quality cigars
But then I stop and think do these things heal away the scars?
Want is like a plaster it will protect you for a while but if overused it becomes extremely vile.
Gratitude, forgiveness , acceptance  .

Silence, it dominates the room but yet no one seems to realize it due to the loud conflicting thoughts that echo through their head.
It is deadly, it is the everlasting burden that weighs you down restricting you form the joy of life.
Where has it come from? And why is it here? No one knows.
Why me and not my neighbour? A question that may have an answer but may not.
It attacks sometimes with no warning, and if there happens to be one it is not so easy to take action before it strikes at you like a hungry hyena craving the taste of human life.
Like your caged within your own body no easy way out the ropes around your body only get tighter your ability gets smaller, so does hope.
It manipulates you twisting and turning your body, infusing your mind with the most negative of thoughts as it overshadows your light.
No one seems to recognize you anymore the passer by that you see every day on your way to school , work, home are now complete strangers at least that is what you think.
And the worst part is acknowledging the fact that after it attacks you, it targets your loved one.
And what may we call you Mr Life wrecker?
Disease.

The Persuit Of Happiness
Toulin Hussein Nov 2014
A desire , a crave we look among it as if a dream and till this day I ask myself why?
What drives this desperation towards such an simple thing, what leads to the hunger and deficiency  to what it may bring .
What is this prodigious desire that even the rich cannot even admire.
What is this delectable delight, that makes the eyes of those who seek it shine like stars in the night ?
What is this mending enchantment, that cannot even be attained by the most powerful commandment?
I ask you now do you possess this heavenly thing? If you say no I will tell you it’s nothing but a broken string?
You desire but it is there , you crave it as you pull on your hair.
It is a small fire, a burning splint getting smaller it becomes a hidden glint.
You have the ability to make it shine, all you need is a little wine.
You have the ability to seek it through, with the love and kindness that comes from you .
Beneath the confusion outside, there goes on a battle between two wolves inside a seclusion of your brain but the inclusion of your heart.
Wolf evil, he is Anger, jealousy ,greed, resentment, lies and ego he feeds on your weakening fire like a weevil he feeds on your desire.
Wolf good, he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility and kindness . he is weak at times but he has the ability to create inside you a beautiful thoughts that ring like chimes.
Do you wonder which will be defeated and how this battle will sunder?
Like happiness it is simple. The one you feed is the one that grows.
So wonder, think, which wolf inside you do you feed the most.

I am you
Toulin Hussein Apr 2014
I am a fly , a mosquito that brings an agitating sound to your ears, and sleepless nights full of tears.
I am sour taste, that changes the appearance of your face. The embarrassments that you have faced
I am your path your light, I am your torch in the night.
I am the one you lean upon when something goes awfully wrong.
I am your mother the one you seek when you feel bleak.
I am the subject in your dreams, I am the nightmare that causes your screams
I am a complicated riddle, the one that causes you to fiddle.
I am a nit in your hair, the anger in your mothers stare.
I am anonymous I am alone, I am a person with no home.
I am love, I am hate, I am the one  that causes a debate.
I am you, I am him, I am your one and only sin.
I am here , I am there , I am the one you want to share.
What am I?
I am this poem...I am a memory.
