Why are we so broken

A man walk towards the bright light
Lighting a cigarette as he moved on
Thinking about his messed up life
Mistakes he made since he was born.

The street was quiet and empty
The night was filled with stars
His hands were very filthy
His body filled with deep scars

He was a total mess outside
Inside his heart kept on going
To him life is not a joy ride
Where people go on singing

The problems were always there
Playing tricks on people everyday
It is a burden we all must bear
Did anybody said that life was fair

Rays of sunlight shining through the window
Rays of sunlight shining through the empty hall
The hall which used to be filled with people before
The hall now remains empty without a single soul

A man went through these great halls once before
A man who walk through the two gigantic doors
A memory which the man could only remember
A memory which there was only pain and suffer

A story which has many of it's very own secrets
A story which the man kept with his own reasons
A life which left the man with the feeling regret
A life  the man had lived in a man made prison

I have so many things to say
Though I have forgotten a few
I remembered how much I care

People running in fear
Why is there no balance?
Why is there even war here?
The sad tragedy has only left me

Why can't we just spread love?

Because honestly all this war has left me
