We don't know each other,
We have not seen each other.
Yet, we are bound together
by an invisible thread of emotions
in this world of words .

Together we stand ,
   with each other ,
    for each other.
A humble tribute to all the members of our beloved Hello Poetry family.

I stepped to the side
Of the large, guffawing
Crowd, my luggage
Hanging quietly from
My loose arms.
I sketched the faces
With my eyes,
Memorizing them
As I trailed my fingers
Over the green rails,
And the memories
I would never have.
I was not there,
In that moment.
I was a bystander,
A bodiless camera
Watching, watching,

Finally breathing.
It felt easier, to not be
Involved, needed, or
Cared for. This way,
I was not a burden.

Are we really that easy to be influenced?
For our feelings to be canceled out just because someone said so?
Was it that shallow — to be easily moved by the waves
that drifted us apart?

Or was the want never really enough
to withstand the waves?

We were just a stick in the sea,
waiting to get back to land,
but thrown instantly —
as if there was never a foundation to stay.

i can’t stop loving you,
even when i know it’s wrong,
even when i try to move on.
like we’re caught in a loop
we can’t escape,
and maybe we never will.
but here we are,
and i’m still caught in the pull.
you know it, i know it,
we’re still here.
💜
everything is changing.
youve changed.

you dont talk to me now.
i cry over you every night.

sometimes i wonder if you think about me
as much as i think about you.

then i remember
you left me because it hurts

i was too much like Her.

and you replaced me.

that hurt the most.

Still Me

Aimée
They looked at me & saw too little,
Because I spoke with silence, not with sound,
They thought me weak, a quiet riddle,
But never saw the strength I'd found.
They whispered why I walked the room,
Gave sideways glances, crooked grins,
As if their noise could drown my bloom,
As if their pride erased my wins.
They called me less & laughed with ease,
Because I didn't fit their mold,
But I'm the calm within the breeze,
The ember that survives the cold.
I don't wear masks, don't chase their race,
I move with care, not false delight,
They mock the softness on my face,
But I was never made to fight
The way they do with egos blade,
I fight with truth, with heart, with grace.
I've been the scapegoat, overlooked
The girl they tried to twist & bend,
But every bruise they ever cooked,
Just made me truer in the end.
So let them talk & roll their eyes,
Let them brag and laugh and glare,
I'll stand beneath the judgement skies,
Still me, still rising, still rare.

The most wretched man, even in his darkest hour, would say:
I have dignity as a  human being,  I have the right of existence like everyone else,  I am not a parasite, an outcast or a pariah--
I might not find happiness but I don't wish to die, I want to continue living in my state,  to commit suicide is not an option--
I will not self-annihilate!

My life is as precious as everyone else's.
