The Jolteon Jan 2015
Painted green
No eggs and ham
Number "33"
One 12 oz can
Once from glass tanks
They do flock
Old Latrobe
The Rolling Rock
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Where do souls
Go
To die
The buildings
Are haunted
By those
With regrets
The Jolteon Jan 2015
The things that kept us close
Now tear us further apart
The Jolteon Jul 2015
As a child he had a fire in his heart
As a young man he kept it close to the start
As an adult now he falters in his words
He has forgotten his path and his heart
Troubled with the lack of dollars
All he sees now are diamonds and bills
Suppression of mentality
It makes me weep
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Some people want to be
Special
Some people want to be
Normal
Be yourself
You are special
You are normal
You are so much more than you could ever realize
Because you
Are you
One of a kind
The Jolteon Jun 2017
Trust, honesty
And mutual respect
Are these things
We forget
Or things
We neglect

For our friends
We attempt
A semblence
Of intent

For our lovers
We invent
Illusions of
What's best
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Why
Did
You
Turn
The
Light On
Just
To
Walk
Out
Of
The
Room
?
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Some will say
"Life is work"
Some will say
"Life is play"
Some will say
"I don't care what you do with your day"
The Jolteon Oct 2014
What does it take?
To have one
At what point do you realize, that you are repeating
Instead of re-reading
When do you realize that your thoughts aren't original?
When do you get tired of thinking others thoughts?
Of seeing it how they want you to see
Feeling it how they want you to feel
Instead of for yourself

What does it take?
To break yourself
And find all the pieces
So you can arrange them how you like?

A song
A story
A poem
A new feeling

It takes an original thought
Something of beauty, love, and passion
To inspire original thoughts
The Jolteon Feb 2015
Wet streets
Buildings crumble under humans
Two
Who cannot decide
Thousands must
Die
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Following in the footsteps
Of our parents
Is not an absolute
I found
Some want to grow up to be like theirs
Others don't
But end up in the same place
The realization
That you are dodging the footsteps
But still stuck in the shadow
Will set us free
Hold on to what you love
And run into the light
The Jolteon Dec 2014
I can see the moon hiding
In between the clouds
As the music plays
Glowing orange
It disappears
Only to shine through
The Jolteon Mar 2015
I smoke this pipe
As I look out the window
Packed with longbottom leaf
I envision myself
As Gandalf the Grey
Reborn as Gandalf the White
Inspired by the hobbit/lotr!
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Adamantly indifferent
To a life lead without happiness
Letting time pass by unappreciated
As if that is what it is meant for
The Jolteon Apr 2018
Paint light around my eyes
Two rings of life
Shine brighter when it's half full
Lighten panic that keeps my chest tight
Exaggerated feelings
As the rocks melt
Your heart does too
Until the potion dries up

I pour, sit, and sip my cup
Wondering how I got taken
So far away from myself

The words don't flow as freely
The liquids are trapped in the bottle
Living life with less feeling

The paint thinner
Was self destructive
Blow up your liver
The Jolteon Jan 2015
Concrete the paper
My feet the beat
My brain the pen
Sun the inspiration
The Jolteon Feb 2015
I'm not sure what it is
I think it's the time of day
The look in your eyes
I can't face the illusions I create
The Jolteon Mar 2015
I am leading myself
On a path I think is right
Guided by those
Who've shown me their true selves
I am desperately walking this path
Looking for footprints that I fit
The Jolteon Oct 2017
The path of the people
Doesn't take you to
Pretty things
Diamond rings
Baseball diamonds
Luxury box seats
You go where the people are
Instead
Where people need you
You go
Where beauty is
The Jolteon Aug 2015
So I guess
That I have
To miss
Things
Like you
I wish
The best
The Jolteon Mar 2015
I would fly
But I've misplaced my wings
Yet they are still pushing me
To jump off the edge
I wouldn't make it very far
Even with a running start
The Jolteon Nov 2014
Waiting for a phone call
She asks to watch a film
Retiring to her room
As I follow
Waiting for a phone call
We lay out
Turn the computer on
And wait
Hearts are beating
She takes out the stethoscope
To see how alive I am
Palms are sweating
As our legs inch closer
Waiting for a phone call
Playing music
And waiting
There is no call
Yet I go home
The Jolteon Jul 2019
Part of me died that day
Picking up the pieces
Still in braces
Without any embraces
The people we love
Torturing our brains and
The thing we love
Is never escaping
Lately I’m just coping
While others move on
I’m still sitting here hoping
Still sitting here shaking
Everyone has moved
And on and on
The list never improves
I ***** and moan
We can only do it for ourselves
You know they say
In order to move on
I’m just asking for support
I’m just asking for the door
No one to open it
Just how to get there
I’m blinded in the dark
The Jolteon Apr 2015
Touching people's hair
Like this a petting zoo
Harassing people on the street
Like this your right
Taking everyone's ****
Like the world is meant for you
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Tired, barren, and empty
Barely able to produce a thought
Mind, body, and soul
Ache with machine like repetition
Where has the music gone?
Where have the children gone?
Where has the laughter gone?
It is easy to forget
Living a false reality
Put the headphones on
Press play
And remember again
Title partly taken from a band name and a song titled "Play Crack the Sky"
The Jolteon Nov 2014
Feeling comfortable
And like you belong
Everywhere you go
Is a privilege

Acting like the world
Is your playground
Is an abuse
Of this privilege
The Jolteon Aug 2017
Hold back
What you have to say
Like shakespeare
Please make it go away
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Promise to everyone
No more war
Promise to everyone
No more poor
Promise to everyone
No more torture
Promise to everyone
No more corruption
Then turn a blind eye
To bombs and shells
Then turn a blind eye
On the collusion on shales
Turn a blind eye
On secret centers
Turn a blind eye
On homeless shelters
The Jolteon Feb 2015
I took her
To a special spot
So we could share
In each other's embrace
Some place private
Away from the clubs
Noise and havoc
The Jolteon Nov 2014
People feeling the power
Walking around
Like they in a tower
Stomping their feet
Like they only matter
Pointing their finger
Like they in the saddle

People feeling the privilege
Walking around
Like everything they business
Not really caring
Who they offended
Only interested
In their own interests

People feeling the prestige
Walking around
Like they are esteemed
Pretending that
They know what they mean
Sleeping under
Their hundred degrees

When these things align
They spiral out of control
Life seems easily defined
By such abstract roles
The leader, the head
The one that's in charge
Seems to so easily forget
Who they really are
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Treat others
As if they were your most beloved
Person
From your favorite
Novel
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Things start to fall apart
Eyes wet
With pressure building
The compulsion for perfection
In this anticipated moment
It almost seems surreal
In its reality
But as reality sets in
The dream starts to fade
Even before its begun
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Calm and collected
The shattered pieces
Picked back up
Once again forming
Perfect crystal
The time to return home
Bringing a confidence back
Once forgotten
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Everything as it should be
Everything familiar
Everyone family
Wrapped up
In this perfect moment
Cherished
Not to be forgotten
Just as it used to be
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Memories cherished
Brought back to life
A return to a normalcy
The day spins away
Wheels on a familiar track
The lurking shadow of reality
Forgotten
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Miles off the ground
Thoughts lingering
Anxiety has rid my body of peace
The stretch of time gone
Has worn my heart thin
But still it beats
Waiting to go home
The Jolteon Apr 2018
I only know when we broke up
Because of the date stamped
On the picture of your bruises
Wrapped around my neck
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Desperate
For something to push back
My hands are on the concrete
Trying to feel the weight of the world
Pushing back
The Jolteon Dec 2017
Sick money
Trick money
Funny money
To shut you up

Sticky money
Real slick money
Not your money
Never was yours money

Development interests
Trickle down business
Techie politicians
Is all you’ll get
This poem is about neoliberal, pro-market development policies within cities in the US. Cities are controlled by neoliberal, business friendly, development friendly governments. Cities like SF see politicians sell the city to the highest bidder for scraps in place of their profits. In the mean time regular and working class people continue to be displaced.
The Jolteon Oct 2014
I hate that feeling
That grows
In the pit
Of your stomach
Head spinning
Weightless
A tornado
Thrashing in my chest
I stick my head
Over the toilet
Waiting for the anxiety
To fall out
The Jolteon Feb 2017
Weird **** happens
When I close my eyes
My body gets taken
Engulfed by night
Waking up in tears
Just after I tried
To get some sleep
And piece of mind
My chest is expanding
Anxiety running high
The world is upside down
Trying to hold on for the ride
Whenever I am sick especially with the flu and I take certain medicine at night it will make me wake up delirious and confused, extremely uncomfortable.
The Jolteon Oct 2017
It’s too soon
To write poems about this
I’m afraid to say
What’s on my mind
To write it down
And read it back
That I liked seeing you
And hope to see you today
The Jolteon Nov 2017
I have 30 different friends
They all sit in the fridge
I only take them out
When I’m killing them
I have 100 different friends
All sinking in a bottle
I pour them all out
When I hit the throttle
Friends = Alcohol
The Jolteon Aug 2015
Don't hurt you
They help you
Don't doubt you
They tout you
Don't judge you
They hug you
Real friends love you
They don't leave you
The Jolteon Feb 2015
Happy New Year
Red red
Everything
The Jolteon Oct 2017
I cheated on you
I slept on the floor
That night
You kicked me out
Of the bed
But you still
Hung your hand down
For me to hold
Later that night
You let me back in
The next day
We went to San Francisco
As planned
The Jolteon Jan 2015
Laughter
Escapes your lips
Like a secret
Never to be told again
The Jolteon Mar 2018
Filling voids by letting women inside
Or the other way around
I liked the bottle much better
It comforted me without judgement
She would crack a joke
I would crack the cap
Now she's gone
My best friend spilled on the floor
I liked the fuzzy warm blanket
Blank stares and funny faces
I liked the bottles better
If I relapse better them than you
The Jolteon Feb 2015
On Valentine's day so it happened
Their lips for the first time did meet
Wrapped in his arms they slept
The next morning a goodbye to the cheek
So began a rocky path
But a path to go down nonetheless
Both suspicious of the other
For others they did undress
To her a close friend
That they did both share
To him a close lover
Someone already there
So a battle was fought
In silence of the heart
One of jealousy and contempt
And unadulterated thoughts
That battle became
The wickedest of affairs
A contract signed in blood
A relationship of errors
The Jolteon Oct 2014
I don't care
What you do
Stitch it
Sew it
Staple it
Just please fix it
Put it back
Together
Because it has all
Fallen
Apart
Mind
Heart
Body
Soul
Everything breaks
Everything needs repairs
