BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Homelessness is a growing problem in North Dakota, a problem that homeless advocates say is largely misunderstood.
Edwinton Place in downtown Bismarck is a permanent supportive apartment complex that follows the Housing First Model. But for residents like Wayne DeSautel, it offers more than a roof over his head. It offers a lifeline.
“This is the Taj Mahal of North Dakota, for homeless as I was, because there was a struggle being homeless and jobless,” said DeSautel.
