As far as wars go
It's a bit of a bore,
But we are at war.
Trade war tariffs:
Monetary missiles,
Cyber attackers:
Heat-seeking hackers.
Yes, hot wars are so passé.
Cold wars,
So-called Star Wars:
All in the past.
Silent battlers
Not sabre rattlers.
Keyboard warriors
No F15s nor Harriers.
Masters of Sanctions
Not Masters of War.
Expelling diplomats
And ***-for-tats.
It's a new World War,
But it's a bore,
So pay attention,
Don't get complacent,
The war drones on.

Seen distant in the heat haze visions seen to cast
Blue hazed mountains framed in lands red dust
Cattle quietly grazing knowing not their fate
Shearers gathered campfires pushing back the night

Tales as stories flowing liquid amber in no haste
Across this wide brown land so rich and yet so vast
Such a short history since that first tall white mast
A land so young so proud but then again so new

The shears and the cockys together saw troubles through
Then came the sprawling cities so vast in chrome and glass
Eating up the shorefronts like possessed high rise colonies
Shattered now the silence the freedom and the peace

Where once there toiled the battlers so many mouths to feed
Life now ruled by foreign time clocks set in many hands
Changes now to our culture most of them far from good
Where now gone the dreamtimes lost to myth and youth

Are there real lessons to be learned,
from playing the board Game of Risk?
Is it just a fun, leisurely past time
with gameplay that can be fairly brisk?

Its premise promotes outright conflict,
albeit on a miniature scale and timetable.
With some posturing and open discussions,
attacks proceed without mortality tables.

Between uneasy alliances (based on lies)
and few verbal, unenforceable treaties,
what attitudes are honed while players
develop their world-******* strategies?

Using the armies of lifeless soldiers
to sate personal needs of global conquest,
wannabe dictators wave ideas of war-policy
with banners hiding a pseudo blood-lust.

From war campaigns with rules of engagement
that follow a predetermined, orderly sequence,
are societies secretly pushing warmongering
with unknown and unforeseen consequences?

Covert operations are not possible or deployed,
as military movements are clearly seen by all;
when acquiring territories around the World,
can a bad cause spread before an uncertain fall?

Does odds calculation for incremental success
as combatants tumble the dice of aggression,
dissuade future, role-playing battlers to not
**** others in favor of peaceful solutions?

Are we actually teaching our future generations
that war will be a permanent, acceptable ideal?
Can the human condition continue moving forward…
while the concept of peace may be sadly repealed?

All the main world leaders brothers one
Been woring on it for simply ages now
They'er trying not to let it be known
But slowly happening and to it they bow

Reducing the world population by endless
The old mentally ill the pooer and the lot
Up the wealthy down with the rest that be
Becming one ridding the world every spot

They say making peace my foot friends for years
Making life harder for all over time the plan
Country leaders becoming one every day
The real honest truth is just another yam

Only those not blind can see it happening
All the rest of the battlers well might as be
getting harder every day for all upon earth
Except the richest of the worls be they wealthy

The big picture is hard to hide for God on earth
But they let little bits show more every day
Oh this man bringing countries together as one
Wake up read the writing on the wall come what may

It's humbling for battlers against Catholicks to know foes win some
in Barrow, Alaska where a perma-frosted sister iced is 1 frozen nun
