WINGS

Today i met an angel
Who fell out of the sky
Her wings were badly damaged
Full of teardrops in her eyes

She thought her soul was broken
She thought she was alone
But other fallen angels
Surrounded her with love

As time went by the wings returned
And all the teardrops dried
The beauty and the glow reborn
With magic in her eyes

She rose above the demons
Left them far behind
Renewal of the spirit
On new wings began to fly

I use my eyes to see
As anyone else would
I see the colors all around me and the faces of those I love
I love my eyes for they let me see things some can't
Like the expression on your face when you make a mistake
Or the rare smile that you hide
But now my eyes are tired
Dark circles surround them
And my vision is slowly getting duller
The world seems to be turning into a monochrome mess
I couldn't even tell when the red under your eyes
Had turned to the same black as mine

Blue is the sky on hot summer days when you're holding a cold drink in your hand,
Blue is the winter sickness with warm sweaters and hot tea,
But blue is
Loving this

Born in this world,
Was never a choice,
But a destiny,
To know the Creator,
Through His creations.

Life is a path.
That once you take,
It disappears.
Every step you take,
Is a step towards your goal.
You cannot step back.

Life is a pen
Swiftly moving.
Never stopping.
Once you make a mark,
It's permanent.
You cannot erase.

Life is a Pandora's Box.
Full of surprises,
Full of excitement.
Once you open it,
Your life begins.
You cannot close it.

Life is a path.
Life is a pen.
Life is a Pandora's Box
That you can never forget.

How she sat there
with movement in her head.
A churning of learning
the ways to get ******
and slaughtered by
other people's
sons and daughters.

And how I sutured a gust
of her brain exhaust
into my chest, into my lungs--
I breathed her like I was
******* the end of a
tailpipe.

Her hands ran like busted tires
as she massaged my temples,
revving her voice,
my ears on her
suicide door lips.

There is no green light
in her red light country.
