Waking up in the night
with a gurgling stomach
is not as bad as going to
bed hungry, I was told
that I'd eat my words but
by then my teeth were in

was not something that
could easily be gummed
although I did already do
that in the A4 envelope,
the one that arrived back

The difference between a Scot
and a Sot, is independence.

Sots have their own passports,
Scots have same as the English!

Every time Sot's are in a knot,
they never loose the plot.

They give it all they've got
because they don't give a jot.

You can put them in a spot
but they'll deal with their lot.

They've been starved even shot,
forced to live in the grot.

Ireland as a nation, alone on its tot,
Scotland's not as brave, freedom it has not.

Ps.

The reason they wear Kilts
is because they are *******.

Conversing with her is like
living in an echo chamber.

Those two way conversations
ask and answer never getting
a word in edgeways.

If she was alone, I'd be sure
she was a schizophrenic.

At least on the phone one can
disregard her, get on with
something else, add a grunt
occasionally just to abbreviate
her monotonous monologue.

Imperialism being the fate
The target be The Empire State.

Democracy ! said Tony Blair, a
stupid statement, as if they'd care.

Besides, they'd hit old mother Liberty

No, they hit the world of trade, where

Métamorphose

In poetry
And in prose

River flowing
From the mountain

Makes it’s way
To Innisfree

Spills its water
Round the lake isle

Then outflows
Towards the sea

And just as one
Cannot stop the wind

That shakes the

Like the Irish Wolfhound

Is gentle when stroked
But viscous when provoked.
