What have we/I learned
from those who want to
make Palestine palatable.

A west facing Riviera of
where it was said that an
Empires sun never sinks.

Location rotation vacation
prime site developments
rubble house constructions.

But Lady Gaza gestates, no
abortion, no caesarian and
no miscarriage(s) of justice.

What we/I have learned, is
endurance resistance and
persistence Al-ways prevail.

The solidarity of solitude
not only seemed too long
a title for a poem, it is also
contradictory, or is it I ask?

It may be a surprise to find
that solidarity is unity and
an agreement of feeling, yet
solitude's a state of seclusion.

But solace can found by some,
in total desolation, as a hermit
in a desert(ed) area, which is
where 'Eremia' Greek is from.

The problem for many is their
inability to share isolation with
the Id and thus, Ego's fear of
loneliness prevents the solitaire.

Patience, is a (mass noun) which
means having an ability to accept
tolerate, delay problems, without
suffering, or becoming anxious.

I don't like pealing belfrys,

seat belt warning sounds,

or Chinese wind chimers.

I don't like telephone tolls,

reversing light bleepers or

hand brake ringing signals.

I don't like juggernaut horns

ambulance sirens train engine

hoots or aeroplane drones.

I don't like rock breakers

chipping pile drivers hitting

or rail carriages shunting

I don't like echoes in tunnels

gurgling in funnels and I don't

like a chainsaw when groaning.

But surely, the most adverse

of all, is when the Palestine

Sunbird, is silent in her cage.

Where does the will to
resist come from

The tree would answer
roots

It is never anything that
is visible

The wind could never
disagree

Perhaps I am not asking
the question properly

What does the will to
resist require

The tree would say it
required irrigation

The wind again has to
agree as it brings moisture

When is there the need
to resist

The tree would answer
when there is a wind

The wind might say but
there isn’t always rain

Why is there the need to
resist

No trees no roots no
reason for wind and rain.

Yeats said that there
isn’t a tree to hang a
man nor earth to bury.

There’s only one man
I’d like to string up and
rock entomb in Gaza.

We hear a lot of talk now
about rescue dogs, but
who will take the donkeys?

You never thought of that
Mr. Trump and why not bring
the Palestinians to America?

Gaza is like West Clare in

But basically it is a hole,

Poetry can be a means
to self assess, because
poets are precise about
a feeling or sensation in
their confessional muse.
Just as people prepare
for speeches in a mirror,
poems can also reflect
what it is you won't see
and certainly can’t hear.

a prescription potential
