but i guess we're always
going to be lonely;
and maybe that's just
what it means to be
truly alive.

they gather for a picture,
with wide smiles on their faces,
and send the holiday cards
to their cousins and nieces,
"what a perfect family"
they all must think,
but behind the camera
their smiles start to shrink
because they need to stick together
when the family's falling apart,
but the parents get divorced
and the children don't get too far

she hides under her bed
and cries herself to sleep,
she wants a happy life,
but she hides what she needs,
though to many she may be joyous
and as many friends she has,
she still needs someone close
which she clearly never had

A call to rebel
From the top, is no call.
It is sedition.
I have not had time to get out a proper poem expressing my horror over the events of yesterday in Washington, D.C. I have read the "freedom fighters" justification for their actions. They need to simply look up three words: "Sedition"
"Revolution"
"Coup"
Only then will they understand what they really did.
Let us not forget this, America.

the future was supposed to be good
with flying cars
and dogs that talked
instead
we get a world of people killing one another
for things they can't control
towns set on fire because
black lives matter
no one is illegal
gay marriage is a right
women are powerful
and people can't see it
so we walk through fire
to fight for the freedom we were promised ages ago
having major writers block i wrote this in june

distance, lost among the pages
two different people
two different places
left behind, dog eared fragments
sometimes i think it’s ok
to judge a street by its pavement
