Walking home through the first rain
since the start of an unexpected drought
soaked to the soul by the song
the drops sang across the road
standing tall, stout, despite the cold
peeled off watery clothes
dove into a blanket sea
storm blown seaweed hair
with anchor pillows
to keep me from
drifting
a crew devised of two
a figure in my dreams
and me

Cold Mountain's calling
Winter days die young
Cold rain is falling
Black cloak has been flung

Carve my face
upon Cold Mountain's ice.
Chisel a trace
of a smile around my eyes.
Cut hard lines
deeply soft beside my mouth.
Send my heart
on a slow boat headed south.

Cold Mountain beckons
I'll be there too soon
Cold river reckons
Cold rain hides the moon

Bell works
People say love is like a budding flower.
Like the sun.
Like waves on a beach, hot tea on a cold day, like light breaking though the clouds.

They're lying.

The best example I can use is that love is a bus.

You have no choice in getting on, it comes when it wants to, and if you're not careful, it will move too fast and leave you sprawled on the floor.
Falling will take your shame, your self esteem, and your faith.

But eventually you'll find a seat,  learn to enjoy the ride, and get where you need to be.
I breath
In peace

I sit
In peace

Ink stains
In peace
I numbed myself today
Nothing else to say

Fires died down for a bit
Easy just to sit

But I know how these things work

I’m waiting for the metamorphosis

As retardant turns to fuel
And the fire returns hungry and refreshed
She had red lips like cherries and blood and wine
Pink cheeks like berries picked fresh from the vine
Skin like porcelain, white as milk
But smooth like velvet or cashmere or silk
Her hair was soft and blew in the breeze
She moved like a dancer with grace and with ease
With the allure of a siren and the body of a model
But the unadulterated mystery of a genie in a bottle
Her eyes were a color the rainbow can't define
She was perfect and amazing but she'd never be mine

Leave me be, world.
Let once my happiness flow.
Let loose your grip, world.
Please let my love grow.

Take your leave, night.
Let me revel in the light of day.
Uncover your face, Sun.
Let the dark in my soul fade.

Leave me be, world.
No one will ever know..
