Beneath a sky of
silken blue and ivory stud
garnet dreams of you

Calming and gentle
the aquamarine waters
of your lovely eyes

Inside my heart you
live for all eternity
I'm forever yours

Above us the stars
shine only for you and I
silver fantasies

and all that jazz !!!
Floating high above the skies
               wearing
nothing but a pair of wings
I untie all emotions
                                  and let my hair loose;
Gliding gently *
                          o'er clouds
I soar like the birds of the sky do,

and when the sun begins to die,
                           Oh, I just fly !
She had that
octopus smile,
always reaching for
something.
I was her small
fish; her handmaid.
I lived in her nebulous
world for far too long.
Inky confusion...

There's a reason for
your treason, said the
old man to the shark,
but Hem forgot, a beast
is a beast, they do
beastly things.
We all have to eat.

I'm done being the
meal.
It's your Ocean,
I'm just trying to
swim in it.

You're an oyster,
and I want your
pearl,
but I won't drown
for it.

Why
is it

people
ask
for the
truth

But
they
never
believe
you

They
rather
believe
a lie?

So
I ask
you
why?

FYI
This was taken from a childhood memory. When I was 16 years old, I ran away from home. My father was out of town on business and the evil stepmom was abusive. I actually went to the church and slept on a pew. I didn’t mean to sleep there all night, but I felt safe. The next day when I told my stepmother where I was, she didn’t believe me ,she imagined I was up to no good. I finally said believe what you want and walked away.

Light replaced by smoke
Further obscures the statue
that white candle-glowed

Hazy, pearl-grey proof
that mystic transcendence is
not light-limited

Not just the statue
or the end of soft verses
or the white candle

It was the timing
The clear-felt coincidence
of pause and darkness

Caught in airy confluence
Secular becomes divine
