Look up, do you remember the last time it rained

I do, every drop and every rainbow

I felt the storm the way you feel the wind

When the guitar faded out and the violin began

I laughed and I cried to the new beginning of time

I need to be more than my generation

I can’t leave my hands in theirs and believe it’ll be okay

I need to help, to feel, to dream, to do

because time heals all wounds and rain heals all pain

so forgive me for never listening

forgive me for listening to much

forgive them for they are blinded by the brightly lit screens

to those who feel the rain

to those who feel the beat

to those who feel the space

be more than faces

be humans
