i long for
             quiet
                     today,

a silence, so complete.

that,
i can not hear
my breath
whistling,
in and out
of my
genetically
imperfect lungs.

a silence, so serene

that,
i cannot
hear my
brain creaking,
as i think
thoughts,
far,
too heavy.

a silence, so magnificent

that,
i am  lost
in it's glory.

just for a heartbeat,
                                unheard.
just for a synapse,
                               snapped.

silence

not, death, far too final.

silence

in all it's
              profound,
                             simplicity.
