Sep 2014
diffused light
clouds muffle the sun
sky the color of
an inca dove's breast

atmosphere
clean as
rare water
pouring like a million
kisses over my face

streetlight
still lit
it's amber light
fills the globules
of rain hanging
upon the palo verde
they glow
from within

pavement
on the street
catching the globes
of luminous wet

the desert sighs

water
