Ours
I sit in this place we called ours,
By the sea that we loved,
And I can’t help but wonder
If you ever come here at all.
Does this place mean anything to you,
Even now, after all this time?
Does it remind you of me,
Or even just memories of us?
It hurt to see you happy without me,
It hurt to see you smile,
It hurt to just walk past you,
Like the strangers we were.
I sit in this place we called ours, but it is ours no more.
I wish I could ask you, “Do you even think of me anymore?”
