A GLIMPSE OF THEN
I once saw things much different
Under a dimmer, duller sky
Yet I can only view the past
Through these present hazel eyes
Once in a while I’ll meet a young person
And I’ll catch a glimpse of then
That is, the days before I understood
That which I can never comprehend
