It was

an old
coal fire

that

she fell
in

the flames
untamed

licked her
skin

going insane
with pain

neglected again

mummy
wasn't there

didn't care...

skin sizzling
off

only five
years old

the neighbour
that helped

had a

heart of
pure gold

to hold

her gently
in his arms

as he pulled
her from her
hell

from inside

the burning
flames
where she
fell

little girl with
a burnt arm

died

but she
survived

scars all over
her body

LITERALLY

from head
to toe

but mum

you should
know...

you're

beautiful

to me
