Chase me, chase me, beyond this place
To where the horizon meets the waves
Over the shore, into the depths
Where secrets and memories are lost and kept

Before first light when all seems dark
Hold the feelings in your heart
Tales of salt brine and cloud-white froth
Where your secrets will never be lost

The distance covered from shore to shore
Chase your dreams with all such force
The tide one day will be all that's left
Where all your memories will be kept

Chase me, chase me, into the sea
The gravity will never fade
A haven here within the depths
Where secrets and memories are lost and kept
Inspired by the painting "Off the South Shore" by William Trost Richards, the song "Imagining" by Brian Crain, and a life-long relationship with the Atlantic ocean.
