Who knew that your mere presence,

after how many days that passed,

would break open the latch,

at the thought of remembering you.

I need to forget.

I want to forget.

You’re making it difficult,

since then.

But as I channel back through,

the memories here and there,

I found a reason.

Something I should have seen two years ago.

In plain sight,

You never loved me.

It hurts.

But there’s a reason now.

A reason to forget.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't writing poetry about some guy.
