I am the surface of the sea
The constant churn that's underneath
The hidden strength inside the weak
I am all you need me to be
I am the here in where you are
Standing guard outside your heart
The flowing brush creating art
I am the near before the far
I am the shawl on your shoulder
The inner calm inside the storm
Standing here cause I am yours
I am all of that and more
I am the humble on its knees
The very joy you dare to speak
The salty tear before you leave
I am all you need from me
I am the rhyme inside the poem
The space next to you when you’re alone
The feather pillow beneath your head
I am all when all is said
I am the smile when you reminisce
The thought that lingers in the kiss
At the top when you make your list
I am love at the crest
I am the answer when you question why
The exhale to the longing sigh
Everything when you look to see
