May 2014
reborn in the roots of the earth
I display leaves and berries

along comes a bird who nests
sleeps in my branches

eats of my fruit
while feeding offspring

flies free across skies
spreading seeds of seedlings

never walk from my grave
in heavy despondency

I flew from here
before I was even buried
