Her
Her eyes they shine
Amber brown and tinge of green
Her hair hung down so fine
Sweet bouncing curls upon her shoulders

Her laugh so sweet and gentle
Never once for me
Her first glance seemed accidental
Never a sight for me

Her lips so lightly parted
The bright white teeth that gleamed
Her voice rang out before I started
"Hey what's your name" Id been asked

My eyes quickly shifted
The question not for me
My friend the one so gifted
And I the shadow in the room

My one sure chance to fly
And forget what was behind
My flaw; too shy
Opportunity had fleeted, and her swept away
