I hope you see me
when you close your eyes

because in the darkness
I want you to remember me,

and how I was once the brightest star in your skies.

I hope you miss me
when you catch a glimpse of me

because you’re alone now,
I want you to remember me
and how warm it was to have me around.

I hope you feel lonely
when you see me smile

because you know you’ll never be happy
at least not like when you  still had me.

I hope that there’ll be nights you cry yourself to sleep
missing me, and wanting me back.

Because I did.

I wanted you back,  I missed you and I always remembered you.
