Farsighted

Hey!

You, yes you,

The one looking for love.

Searching, scavenging,

every opening and cavity,

shifting perspectives from high to low.

From sea to sea, coast to coast,

textbooks, blogs, looking for an explanation,

Why have you not found her?

Where could she be?

For you won't find her,

simply because there is no "finding" necessary.

She's been there the whole time.

You think of her as your friend,

but she knows of you as more.

Open your eyes man!

Just look around, stop your despair,

What if she's already there?
