we thaw

congealing into a warm embrace.

the cold won’t get us.

can remain in overwinter,
forever.

yet soon

into a perilous blizzard.

blinded by this universes quake,
and with our thoughts
whited out,
we cannot see.

shivering, frozen
cold,
