I arose to the
subtle scent of a skein
of moist desert
her
weathered brown cheeks
slightly dewed with
tears

The company of
mute
charcoal
clouds cluster

conspiring

but never consumating
the JOY of
happily wedded bliss

the fruitful mating
of
earth and heaven

RAIN.

The earth recieved
only a wet kiss
and the sky

wept

softly
