Runaway

     Runaway, Runaway, you can never
Runaway, the truth will always find you
It doesn’t matter what the truth is
In the end there’s the truth we knew

In the Goodfellas we can see the truth
Right before our own eyes
Life always catches up to you even
If you’re in your best disguise

The wise guys, the Goodfellas
The family and the golden rule
Never be the Rat remember togetherness
And never play each other for the fool

But the reality is you can’t trust anyone
Soon they all want their own stack
No longer satisfied with just a cut
Eventually everyone gets it in the back

It’s the universal lesson you learn
When you decide to betray
You find yourself in witness protection
And your the stiff you tried to Runaway
