When I was grieving
     God grieved with me
When I was screaming
     God screamed to me

Birds perched by, quaking, on branch or limb
Hearkened not to my aching, but sang for Him
Unknowing avians cried their crooning grief
Shook earth and sky, swayed twig and leaf
Sweet mournful tune upon somber wind
Clouds shrouding moon drew aside for Him
Breathless, hushed, and trembling, I arose in
Speechless rush as halcyon stars hung frozen
Revelation did opine, and thus impart to me
Wisdom's peace divine; I, tho apart from thee
Stood in presence of love, and henceforth knew
Luminescence held above, that which I held for you

When I was crying
     God cried with me
When I was dying
     God died for me
