I want to tell you I miss you—
Ask how your day has been,
What you’ve been up to lately,
And all the little things in between.

But I wonder how you’d take it,
How you might react.
Would you welcome me with open arms,
Or remind me to leave the past intact?

So I’ll put it in a poem—
A quiet way to reach you.

I really want to say how much I miss you...
But maybe, I just hope
You miss me too.
