She sailed away on a hush of snow
Her breath a wisp in winter's palm,
The stars bowed low to kiss her brow,
and time forgot its ticking psalm

I called her name in fields of hass
where shadow bloom and daylight pass
and silence grew like mourning grass
each whisper stitched in clouds stare
each echo trapped in evening air
a velvet cry through lightning flare
She lies in stars my astral love
where comets trail her sleeping dove
while I a mariner down
still drown in dreams where she won't drown

why did you walk the hush of death?
The world still turns, I've got no breath
So let the sea take back its tide
for though the sun forgets to hide
my soul will sail with her for sure
let roses bleed along the shore.
